We had several early in the season and how did that turn out? If we had the same injury situation this year as everyone else, we would have made the playoffs, but we still wouldn't have gone very far, because the same problems would still be present. Injuries aren't the problem anymore.

Don't doubt Kenny Holland. He's a genius and this was a great move. It's the only light in a rather s***ty day.

Lidstrom isn't the kind of guy who's going to say that, though. "We will win". First that's plagiarism from Messier and Namath, second it's not in Lidstrom's personality to do that. I think this team is as cooked as a goose. That statement game you were referring to I thought was being made during the first period. Next thing you know, I found out I was wrong. One and two game winning streaks is all this team is good for. That's why they're a .500 team right now and not even that actually.

I don't believe anything our team doctors say. f*** them. Kronwall apparently had a minor tweak (or so they said), yet he's missed the last two games. In any case, even though those guys have been great for us these season, we can afford to have those players out. Franzen will replace Homer, while Abby and May will be inserted into the lineup. The Kronwall injury is the one we can't replace. We need him back.

I'd be more pissed if my team missed the playoffs 6 straight seasons and the highlight of their decade was winning a first round playoff series against an injured Wings team, and then losing in the next round.

That blows. Lidstrom has never been physical, but it has never been a weakness to his game. There are plenty of non-physical D-men who are adversely affected by it, but not Nick. I've never seen him get completely owned by someone bigger than him. Someone should have told him that Bobby Orr was overrated just to provoke a fight. Old Canadian fool.

Stuart and Ericsson reminded me of those D-men in video games that just stand around why you're scoring goals point blank left and right. ******* pathetic. I guess Lebda and Meech must have played together in this game, but I didn't even notice that. That shows you how bad that 2nd pairing was.

That no-trade clause is starting to look real bad right about now. That would be a good salary to move too, especially with Lilja returning.

Hey, remember when this team actually had leadership that made a difference. Right now they look like a car going wildly downhill without anyone to ride it. Nobody behind the wheel. Also, it's time to give Howard a ******* rest. I don't care if Ozzie banged Babcock's wife, or whatever happened there. Howard has looked tired recently. He was all over the place in this game.

Knowing how paranoid Canadians are about their team, they must be wondering whether Babcock should be the guy coaching this team right now.

I'd trade him back for Leino. Seriously.
