Man I miss that guy. He was so fun to watch out there. A guy that sucks at every phase of the game. At least Lebda can skate. I wish the Finns would put him on their Olympic team

Thoughts on the Four Minute High Sticking Penalties
GMRwings1983 replied to GMRwings1983's topic in General
But the penalty doesn't necessarily result in severe injuries. The only difference between the 4 minute and 2 minute high sticking is the blood factor, which doesn't usually depend on the severity of the players high stick. You're thinking about the 5 minute type, like say McSorley wacking Brashear in the head. -
When Forsberg is not injured, doctors from all over the world gather to study the phenomenon that is a "healthy Peter Forsberg".
-
He's starting to approach Aki Berg territory with those numbers.
-
He's only played like 4 playoff games since he left here. Also, he's 38 years old. Not much long term potential there. I enjoyed rooting for him in Detroit, but this is not going to solve anything for us. We have scoring depth on paper, it just doesn't show up on the ice.
-
No kidding. Matt Bradley is their enforcer on most nights. That's not good. I'm surprised I'm the only person that mentioned St. Louis. Even with King injured, they've got a lot of gritty players on that team.
-
Either Philly or St. Louis.

I guess this is what it's like to have a GM that's in the Hockey Hall of Fame. If only....
-
What the hell for, when he can join the Pens or Devils?
-
Has Lou Lamoriello acquired the Thrashers franchise by any chance?
-
Keep dreaming. Me and mindfly are here to stay. Deal with it.
-
I'm going to start a "We Could Have Gotten Kovalchuk" thread just to piss of King Crymson here.
-
Was there really so little interest in him that this was the deal Atlanta decided to take? Teams must have felt an inability to have him for a long-term contract. Because if not for that, other teams would have put better offers on the table than what New Jersey did.
-
That's like us getting him for Leino, Ericsson and a 1st. O.K., maybe not that bad, but not that far removed either. Atlanta gets no one that can help them right away. The team that gets the best player in a trade usually wins the trade. Here, it's not even close. The other teams in the East must be pissed at Atlanta right now. They traded Hossa for Heatley, yet here they trade Kovalchuk for mere prospects.
-
I want to see some big name going the other way, or else I'll think Atlanta just gave New Jersey a Valentine's Day gift. This looks absurd right now on paper.
-
That's a steal for New Jersey if they can keep Kovalchuk long term. Neither of those players is irreplaceable.
-
He's probably playing some tennis match is Sweden next week.
-
Well, it's gotten out of hand these last two weeks for some reason. He's played O.K. in that stretch, but it's not like he's shown some second coming of Lemieux or anything like that. I think you're just jesting with us.
-
What rule? You can't fight after a clean check but can when it's a dirty hit? As if the NHL doesn't have enough ridiculous rules implemented already.
-
I don't understand this thread. If someone lays out one of our top players with a clean hit, I'd want someone to retaliate immediately, when their temper is hot and when the opportunity best presents itself. You don't know if they'll get a chance to do it later in the game. As long as fighting is allowed, what's to stop players from picking when to fight? The league isn't going to hand out a rule saying you can't fight after a clean hit, but can fight after a dirty one.
-
This definitely opens the door for Lebda. Unless Chelios wants to be on the team himself.
-
This Fillpulla man crush of yours has become quite disturbing. I mean you've been here for a couple of years now, and I never remember you acting this way about him before. Are you feeling O.K. man?
-
Tell 'em how it is mindfly.
-
Lebda will be added to teh Olympic roster.

I hung my head in shame when I knew Meech was dressed for this game. Lebda was laughing on the bench.
