Why is Babcock continuing to put Bertuzzi on that second line? These line combos suck right now.

As this game goes on, I feel myself itching closer and closer to the dark side of the force. This Pens team is quite good, you know.

With the rebounds Howard gives up, no shot is harmless. The Pens are doing the right thing against him just throwing the pucks on net. Certainly more than we can say about Detroit's offensive prowess right now.

Once again this veteran team full of stars is standing around and making their rookie goalie do all the work. It's getting frusrating to watch this every night.

Howard is giving up way too many rebounds. Also, Draper blew that 3 on 2. We had two guys crashing the net, and he tried that stupid patented slapshot of his, near side no less. What a waste. We need some offensive pressure right now. So far Pavel and Hank are in their disappearing act again. These guys seem to show up every other game. That's not good enough.

If we win today, none of those things will matter. If we lose, then once again those teams are just winning at a higher percentage than us, hence they deserve it more. You guys need to stop stressing out over what these other teams do. It's not like the Wings are being cheated by those teams winning. There's about 7 or 8 teams separated by only 5 or 6 points, so it's hard to cheer for anyone, since these teams are playing amongst themselves. Wings just need to take care of their own s***. We haven't been as good against the East this year as the teams around us. Time to change it around starting now.

Well, then we should have beaten both LA and Phoenix when we had the chance. We'd have 4 extra points right now, and both those teams would have 2 points less. Wings just have themselves to blame for that. We need to win tomorrow to keep pace it looks like.

So much for us getting healthier. We still have to win, though. The time for excuses is dwindling down.

He somehow got a hold of the Uwe Krupp video on how to play defense. Waste of size so far. He utilized it way better last year in the playoffs.

As I said in the GDT, it doesn't matter. This team is healthy now and needs to go on long winning streak, so that these other teams become insignificant. If it can't do that and needs these Western Conference bottom feeders to lose for us, then we don't belong in the playoffs. If we need help to make the playoffs, we shouldn't be a playoff team. Not with our level of talent.

If we're going to string wins together, we need to be better defensively. Tonight was plain embarrassing with the turnovers and odd man rushes. Anaheim, Minnesota and Dallas are all moving up. Our injured guys are back. We need to put together a 6 or 7 game winning streak here to get in more comfortable position.
