We can't give Nashville a point in this game. It just looks like this team is out of gas to me. From now on it has to be all Howard if we're winning this in regulation. His teammates aren't going to help him much.

With our undersized defense, a collapsing style is not good. If you let the point men shoot all the time, you need to clear the crease. On top of that you can't have a goalie that gives up lots of rebounds. That's why the collapsing style isn't good for this team. Howard gives up lots of rebounds, and we don't tie up enough sticks down low. We need to start preventing more pucks from reaching our goalie. They're doing just the opposite.

When the PK was playing well, they were challenging the point men. Like I said earlier, now they're just standing around in their stupid collapsing style, and letting the other teams tee off on them. Our defense isn't strong enough to outmuscle people out front, so we need to challenge the shooters. Babcock and McCrimmon have proven these last two years that they know nothing about the PK. This style just isn't working, nor should it.

Are we trying to blow another 2 goal lead? Too many chances by Nashville. And we better not stand around again on the PK giving up point shots. Be aggressive at challenging the shooters for once.

You're right, the Wings did play a poor period, but after taking the lead, it'd be nice not to give up a goal on the next shift. This team just blew whatever momentum it got from the Williams goal. It's just frustrating.

Good thing Zetterberg brought his A game today. First he tried a Kris Draper move on a breakaway, then he falls down on the shift which leads to the turnover and goal.

Dude, Phaneuf s*** his pants during the squaroff and fell down like a little girl for fear of being pummeled in front of his famous moviestar girlfriend. That was a clear win for Lilja in my book.

Good to see you back. It's pretty sad how you decided to put your personal life ahead of this site, though. Who needs school and work anyway? Figures. We'll never be completely healthy with our luck. He was dominant against them last time we played, too. I remember him scoring several goals including the OT winner.

Ah, yeah pretty much. Although Kris Draper was traded for $1, so maybe Leino does have some value if they still make trades like that nowadays.

It is. Babcock has not done a great job motivating this team or preparing them to play every single night. We've seen that these past two weeks, as they've been getting more and more healthy. They take too many shifts off. It's still the players fault more than anybody else's, though. If a coach like Babcock can't light a fire under their asses then I don't know who could. Should we hire Mike Keenan?
