So in other words, he does one more thing out there than Leino can do?
-
I'm not a medical expert, but I don't see why concussions would affect what he does for a living, unless it's some physical behavior like say playing sports.

I hate Ott, so I'm not surprised. Anyway, I wasn't intending for this thread to be one about tough guys, as much as asking people if they had any idea that Grimson turned to law school after hockey. I've met many lawyers before and gone on various firm sites, but never saw a legendary NHL enforcer as one of the attorneys at a firm. He was also a nut during his playing days, so it's funny to see how different he is off the ice.

No, 95-96 was his last year in Detroit. He was in Hartford by 1997.
-
I'm not licensed in Tennessee, so he couldn't give me anything other than a really bad beating. Yeah, I'm a Wings fan and I love hockey fights, so I've always liked Grimson. However, him being a lawyer puts the icing on the cake for me. I need to move him up on my hockey love list. I imagine most of his clients in Tennessee don't know who he is though, since hockey isn't popular over there. If he was a lawyer in say Detroit or Chicago where he played, it'd be different.

Yeah, I still can't believe Barret Jackass won the Calder trophy that year. Looking back on it now, Zetteberg is one of the best forwards in hockey, while Jackass hasn't even come close to being considered an All-Star or a member of Team Canada. Has there ever been a worse Calder Trophy winner?

Gale Sayers is a Hall of Famer and one of the greatest and most influential running backs ever. I don't know if Zetterberg is a Hall of Famer when he retires, or if he'll be considered one of the best ever. I don't think so. So, Sayers is the best #40 out of those two players.

I prefer seeing the big untalented goons square off. I miss the days of untalented thugs like Twist and Odjick squaring off in pugilistic combat. Now these middleweight fighters seem to have taken over the league.
-
I think it's over for us. Pens and Hawks in the Finals. Wings miss playoffs by one point.
-
I saw the fake one at the HHOF. Do they usually have the real one there or something, because many people have mentioned the HHOF, and I was under the impression that the one there is always the fake one?
-
I don't remember being bored by hockey before shootouts were implemented. There were plenty of OT wins before this 1 point for a loss system was created.

Instead of Overeacting educate yourself on the Facts of Ott's Goal

Holland should have brought Brad May and Andreas Lilja with him, just to intimidate the guy some more. -
I know people are upset that the teams above us are winning, but those teams have played better than us this season, hence they're higher in the standings. It sucks but it's only fair. Those teams are beating the East every night, while we're getting our asses kicked by the New York Islanders. The Wings need to go on one of their patented 9 game winning streaks.

Oh sorry. I forgot to mention, 1 point for the tie. Basically, go back to the way it used to be.
-
2 points for a win 0 points for a loss. Five minute 4 on 4 OT's. 1 point for a tie. No shootouts.
-
I guess his wife went shopping with a Russian woman yesterday, because Datsyuk looked awesome today.
-
If Leino played these last two games, he would have scored on both the shootouts.
-
Get over it already man. We're all entitled for a consistent hard working team every game. We haven't had that the last few weeks. They played hard today, but yesterday took the last 2 periods off. You need to be a little more critical and less homerical (if that's a word).
-
I say it's a draw, and most knowledgeable fight fans seem to agree. Hawks fans think Versteeg dominated the fight easily and cemented himself as the next Rick Rypien. Still, I never thought I'd see either of these players squareoff and fight.
-
I was hoping Toronto would overrule the Hossa goal, saying that the puck didn't cross the red line. I mean, it's only fair.
-
Who needs Kronwall when we have LeBeech out there on defense filling his spot?
-
The first shootout goal was a softie. Also, he didn't challenge very well or look too confident on the other shootout goals.
-
Didn't you hear? Versteeg won the fight by KO.
-
Really? Maybe I'll try the whole Blues site thing. I wonder how long I'd last with my personality and feelings towards their team?
-
2-3 weeks is a big freaking setback. He should have been back already based on early reports as recently as a few weeks back. He's our best offensive defenseman too.
