You never know, this might be the game that catapults the Islanders to the 2010 Stanley Cup. They look like they're going to win the East hands down and could defeate the '82 Islanders with minimal effort.
-
Leino needs to score here and tell Babcock to suck it, being the only Wing to score tonight.
-
Yeah, the leaders of this team seem unable to cope with this situation, just because they haven't been here before. We've never had to fight for a playoff spot and they don't seem able to handle it.
-
Sounds like you're trying to bait me like you've done before. Won't work no matter what kind of language you use. Next time actually post something constructive instead of personally attacking posters and then admitting that you did so.
-
Not another one. Fine, we've been great 3 of the last 4 games. I lied in my post.
-
Well, in that case you probably should know that I've retired from flame wars. Since you can't argue anything I said, there's no point talking with you is there? Just messing with you, Doc. There is no Howard bandwagon. People would love to jump on Ozzie's bandwagon, but he's been too inconsistent in his play. Howard has been better, which is why people prefer him. Remember, we like short term solutions, and not long-term ones.
-
We had 2 SOG in that period? What happened to Babcock's former philosophy of putting pucks on net as much as possible? Now this team keeps economizing shots, hence they get lazy offensively. They need to go back to what they've done in the past.
-
Leino has actually been better than our top line in this game. At least he had one good shift of cycling out there. Personally, I think Helm should be on the 2nd line with Flip and Cleary.
-
Are you going to refute anything that I said in my post, or just attack me personally? Besides, with mindfly out, someone has to pick up the slack. Poor guy is probably banging hsi head against the wall in Sweden right now.
-
This Wings team brings out the nihilist in me. You must be happy, though, now that your boy Howard has finally been taken.
-
Leino would probably stay on the bench during the brawl.
-
I'm sure he's had to do that many times this season with all the no-shows and shutouts this team has faced. Obviously whatever he's told them for motivation hasn't worked.
-
3 of the last 4 games now have involved s***ty efforts by the Wings. This team is headed in the wrong direction. Is anybody surprised, though? A team that doesn't show up for games 6 and 7 of the SCF isn't going to show up against an Islanders team in mid January.
-
May should have played tonight. We could have used his energy, hitting and passion on every shift. None of these other players had it.
-
I'm convinced that the Islanders are the best team in the East.
-
Leino should have been forced to pick the octopus up. Insert joke here____________________
-
Finally Datsyuk does something out there for me to notice him. Too bad it's the wrong kind of play. There goes the Lady Byng for this season.
-
Ozzie should stuff his shorts with some socks or something.
-
These Islander announcers sound like they haven't seen this since their Cup years.
-
Damn you Ozzie!!!! You've cost us this game.
-
Sad but true. Supposing Franzen does come back, it'll take him a while to get back into game shape. Zetterberg missed 8 games or so, and he looks invisible out there. What can you expect from Franzen that's better, especially with a more severe injury?
-
I'm guessing you were just trolling, but May actually plays hard on every shift, which is what we need right now to fire up the rest of these players. I wish May was playing tonight for that reason alone.
-
Nice going Maltby. Our agitator winds up picking up a penalty himself instead of drawing it on the other team to get us back in the game.
-
I'd tell you what I think of you, but I don't want to get into trouble.
-
We'll continue to have these games as long as Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Rafalski and Lidstrom continue to suck offensively. And it's been a while now since Bertuzzi netted a goal. He looks invisible tonight, which is hard considering his size.
