I'm one of the younger posters, yet I support old school hockey, and adore some of the fighters of the 70's and 80's like Wilson, Nystrom and Brown. I don't think it's necessarily age related.

Did I say you were anti-enforcer? I just said you claimed you aren't one, and yet you always seem to be arguing with pro-enforcer posters in enforcer threads. Seems a little fishy. Also, see post below.

Wait, do you think Jarome Iginla is an enforcer? I love these enforcer threads. You got ESAD, micah and uk_redwing one one side, and you have shoreline, Doc Holliday (who claims he isn't anti-enforcer), and shoreline on the other side. It's like a broken record.

Even when a fight deters a guy from running any more star players, the anti-enforcer slappies still fail to acknowledge that it deterred anything.

Well, you didn't think Hossa would travel without his valet, did you? Slovakia figured they'd need a tough guy, for whenever they have to play Canada. Chara probably declined the role, so Kopecky is their official tough guy.

I've been saying this about him since last year's playoffs. If every player played as hard as him on every shift, we'd win the Cup every year.

I always though Anze Kopitar was from Slovakia. Oh, come to think of, he's from Slovenia. Sucks for him that he won't be in the Olympics I guess, even though he's one of the best players in the world right now.

The reason our PP stinks right now is because he's not getting pucks through the way he has in the past. His one-timer is useless right now, where it's always been deadly before. Defensively, he still looks pretty good. He seriously needs to take a vision test. -
"Deserve has got nothing to do with it" as Cint Eastwood says in "Unforgiven" If Howard keeps playing like this, he'll be the starting goalie in the playoffs, thus he will be rewarded even for games where he takes a loss.

We can have both. May and Janik are hardly to blame for the scoring woes. Blame that on the injuries, and on Datsyuk and Lidstrom having no scoring touch whatsoever this year. May and Janik are doing their job better than these other guys are.

I don't know how much it'll improve with Cleary coming back, since he's been having an off year also. Hopefully, Kronwall's return will spark the scoring, even though it's from the back end. -
No, but we didn't have anyone injured either. The way Boll was running our players earlier in the game, that was a possibility. May enforced and deterred Boll from running anymore guys to start s***.

Yeah, I also hope Janik plays over Meech and Lebda. As for May, that was his best showing of the season. Still, a young Brady May would have destroyed Boll when he was hurt midway through the fight. This May doesn't have that killer instinct anymore. But notice Boll didn't run our stars anymore after May challenged and beat him. Before that, he ran Datsyuk and Rafalski. So enforcers don't deter, huh?

Two goals in 4 games for the Wings. Pathetic. Lebda didn't pick up Modin. Big surprise. PP is a freaking joke. Lidstrom is definitely injured. He was terrible in the OT, missing the net wide by about 10 feet, and then passing up on an easy shot, only to turn the puck over. -
