He played well. Took some hits but was a little timid to shoot the puck as he usually is. Still he can't wake the dead like some have predicted. Leino was his usual zombie self, even with his Finnish linemate beside him.

Chris Simon must be laughing his ass off watching these KHL players fight. Their fighting style is so different than what we see in the NHL when they do indeed drop the gloves.

You don't watch enough hockey fights to be making such posts. May would destroy any of those players you named. Janik and Newbury would take them also. Duncan Keith doesn't fight. Bufflin is a a big fat ***** who can't fight. Seabrook can fight, but he's not better than May. Who can hurt Duncan Keith? Are you freaking kidding me with that post? -

I still want someone to explain why Babcock sends May out there for staged fights, but doesn't send him out for these situations? I'd rather see May fighting these last 2 games, then see him fight Barch in one of their friendlies. -
I notice there isn't an enforcer on that roster. What happened to my boy Andrei Nazarov? Is he still playing, anyone?

These guys all have a good overall in my NHL 2k6 game, which is what I'm basing this on. Yashin is another guy I forgot. I'd rather see these guys with star power (even former star power), than these other guys nobody ever heard of. BTW, Afinogenov is a lazy and sucks player too. He's having a decent half season, but I can't believe they'd pick the guy just for that. He's been terrible the last few years which is why the Sabres let him go.

So has Datsyuk, but he's on the team. For that matter, Lidstrom shouldn't be on team Sweden if these countries are only picking players based on current performance. If I were picking, I'd take Zherdev, Kovalev, Frolov and Zubov on the team, and they'd probably win the Gold Medal.

What about Nikolai Zherdev? Is he doing so bad in the KHL that he wasn't picked for the team?

The Pens can't get injuries in the playoffs. The Hockey Gods love them too damn much. -
Look, I know Kovalev has been accused of not always playing hard, but I'm sure that he'd play hard for his own country like he's done in the past. Skill wise, he can do things these players can't do. Same goes for Frolov. I admit I've never seen these players play, but I have a hard time seeing them being better than Frolov and Kovalev. Also, no way Grebeshkov is better defensively than Zubov.
