If we get shutout 2 games in a row against a division rival without starting a fight, then I'm labeling all our North American players *******!
-
1961 I hope you were alive back then. If not, your life as a hockey fan must have sucked.
-
Your team has done s*** your whole lifetime. This is probably the highlight of your hockey viewing days right here.

Why is Howard laying face down in his crease facing the other way? Moron.
-
drum isn't streaming. go here http://www.justin.tv/furby666 That's where the game's at.
-
Keith just lost his spot on team Canada. LOL.
-
Hey, I miss cheering for a good and winning team.
-
I'm this close to jumping on their bandwagon.
-
Re-runs of the 2002 SCF most likely.
-
That's why we need to goon it up!!!

Did he age 10 years in one season? His age didn't look to affect him that much last year in the regular season. He had a worse regular season than usual, but nothing as bad as this.
-
Datsyuk and Lidstrom are the best players in our lineup right now. They're both playing like crap, however. If they looked like they've looked in past seasons, we'd be a much better team this season even with the injuries. The same for Zetterberg's performance this year.
-
Legitimate scoring chances? Yes. Legitimate shots? No.
-
I've never seen Lidstrom look so incompetent out there offensively. Today, he's also been bad defensively, which is really uncharacteristic of him.
-
Leino has bean a beast tonight. What a terrific force of human talent he is.
-
Why wouldn't we boo this bum? He went to a divisional rival that we all hate, after he gave us the most pathetic playoffs possibly imaginable. Last year, he left the Pens fora team that their fans hate also (the Wings) He's a guy that's easy to boo.

How much playoff success did Ozzie have when he was in St. Louis and New York? I don't think it's fair to blame Luongo for the teams he's played on. All I know is that Luongo has been much better in regular seasons than Osgood and has been nominated for the Vezina many times. He's had to carry some teams during that stretch. Ozzie has never had to carry a team for the entire regular season. Luongo doesn't have much a of a playoff career because he's played on teams that only got there several times and weren't good enough to go much further. I just think Luongo has been a better goalie in this decade than Ozzie. Ozzie is more accomplished, but I don't think that's what this All Decade team was all about. Kovalchuk hasn't had much playoff success and Iginla's team has only had one good playoff run in this decade. Yet they were still on the list. BTW, Luongo has only been in the West a few years, so give him time before he makes the conference finals. Obviously, he wasn't going to make the ECF while in Florida.
-
It's amazing that people here actually think that Osgood playing for the Wings would do better than if Luongo had played for us all this time. Also, what about Hasek. Why isn't he the 2nd best goalie of the decade?
-
Good point. Leino made it sound like he was too good for Grand Rapids. Now he looks worse than anyone else we've called up from Grand Rapids. Maybe we should send him to the LNAH where he can toughen up and play more determined hockey.
-
The Red Wings won one Stanley Cup in this decade with Ozzie as the starter. How many Cups do you guys think we'd have if Luongo was our starter the entire decade? I say more than one.
-
You're right. Crosby shouldn't have been there either. Joe Thornton and Peter Forsberg are two names that come to mind instantly. There's likely others, but I'm just going off the top of my head here.
-
I know people here will crucify me, but no way Osgood is the 2nd best goalie of the decade. You have to rank Hasek and Luongo ahead of him. Yeah, Luongo doesn't have much playoff success, but that's the product of him playing on bad teams and Ozzie playing for the team of the decade. Was Osgood even nominated for a Vezina in this decade?
-
Ovechkin only played half the decade, so he has no business being on this list. Kovalchuk has actually played most of the decade and was likely the left winger they should have chosen. Also, I'd rank Pronger ahead of Niedermayer. He won a Norris, a Hart trophy, and was a more well rounded defenseman. Niedermayer has more Cups, but that's because he's played for better teams.

Yeah, but with this s***ty job market, I'm an unemployed lawyer for now. Hopefully, that'll soon change.
