I agree. People frequently make dark jokes about someone else dying tragically, but why is this guy doing it during a broadcast? That's not his job or why he's there.
-
You mean it's actually possible for the Pens to have injuries?
-
Blah blah blah. Everyone here should just rear Doan's babies if they like him so much. Excuse me if I want to see someone on our team beat his ass. This seems like as good a reason for it as any other.
-
Good news. Saturday could be a big game, because if we lose to Chicago, that will be three straight games without points, which in the Western Conference is the equivalent of being f***ed.
-
You don't like my posts?
-
Ah, how sweet. Doan should apologize to Ericsson on the set of Sesame Street while he's at it. That will make it all O.K. Seriously, you need to jump on the "Doan needs a beating" bandwagon. That's my boy. Hah! Lilja or May would eat all those guys for lunch. Bertuzzi also could, but his retributions tend to be a little too severe. We just need to send Doan a little message the next game, but nothing too crazy. Hopefully, Ericsson will be back and will challenge him personally.
-
Who's the player you had in mind? Sounds interesting, but I want more info before I sign off on that trade.
-
Stamkos was 18. Leino is in his late 20's. Big difference as far as potential and upside goes at those ages.
-
You muddled up my argument. I think Sawchuk would have a lot more shutouts in today's NHL. Especially if he played for a trapping team all those years and wore gigantic pads.
-
Lilja, May or Bertuzzi. Hell, perhaps Ericsson himself.
-
I wonder how many shutouts Sawchuk would have in today's league.
-
God that uniform (and the fox logo) looks hideous. I remember many years ago people thought there was a good chance of Doan coming to Detroit.
-
Newbury outscored Leino during his stretch here, so he should have stayed. Also, I'm a grit loving enforcer slappy who hates soft euros. Apparently.
-
What about your boy Bertuzzi?
-
Havlat is more than welcome to do it if he's up for it. Why are you guys so against one of our tough guys or Ericsson himself challenging Doan the next game? It's hockey after all. Doan is able to stand up for himself.
-
Did you not see Leino's name on the list? Look again, man. More carefully this time. See his name now?
-
Yeah, anyone who's pro-enforcer is a troll. Typical argument around here.
-
So apparently people were expecting as much from Leino this season as they were from Lidstrom. Highly unusual.
-
Well, then you can write Doan an apology letter on behalf of the Wings, after one of our tough guys beats his ass.
-
Like I've said before, I still think Lilja or May should kick Doan's ass the next time we play them. His apology doesn't pay the bill so to speak. I suspect he's apologizing to worm his way out of a beating.

Oh brother.

No. McCarty was an enforcer, although most people think of him as a light heavy. In any case, he often hung in there with the top fighters in the league. I don't see Abdelkalder as being anything more than an occasional fighter. Not even a middleweight type. He wears a visor for crying out loud. Skill wise, he can play both center and wing and has better hands than McCarty (hopefully). I see him being better in that department. Basically, I don't think he and Mac have anything in common, except playing for the same franchise and the fact that they play 100% on every shift. However, their skills and abilities are completely different.

Probert. The other team would s*** their pants during the pre-game skate.

What's the Finnish word for bust?

Which is exactly why I'm tired of people talking about how great we'll be once we're healthy. Even if we do become healthy, it'll be hard to pass a bunch of teams in a short span of time. Especially with this Olympic s*** coming up and players needing time off from the games.
