    Bruins re-sign Marc Savard

Holy s***! That's a Jeff Finger contract there.

Ballard slashes teammate Vokoun in head

So I'm guessing that's Ballard's way of blaming Vokoun for the goal?

    #1 Hockey Country

If you ask Bettman, the answer is easily USA. If you ask anyone else, the answer is easily Canada.

    Brad May

The visor thing doesn't matter, because he can just take it off before fights. If it's a spontaneous fight, that's a different story, but no one really thinks of May as a visor wearing fighter, so I doubt anyone will hold it against him. There's other tough guys who have won visors for some time while nursing an injury.

    Brad May

He's fought several times since his eye injury so it doesn't matter. I just hope Babcock keeps playing him, because our record is much better with him in the lineup. We're almost unbeatable in regulation with Brad May in the lineup, especially in games where he fights.

    when injured players start returning

Hopefully. Although we didn't exactly explode at the end of the SCF when our players finally came back. It'll take a while for injured players to get back to form offensively.

    Shocking news about Datsyuk..

I've always had a sneaking suspicion that you and mindfly are actually the same person. Some kind of a bipolar phase where you never post at the same time.

    Shocking news about Datsyuk..

Datsyuk's goal scoring struggles started in the playoffs last season. He was playing with Hossa and Homer back then. They also paired him with Franzen and Flip at times. Hardly pylons. He's scored 30 goals the last several seasons, but this year, his goal scoring numbers are way down. There's nothing wrong with fans calling out a star player when he and the team are struggling. If we're going to kiss his ass all the time and mention him as possibly the best player in the world, we should be allowed to point out a few flaws from time to time. A lot of the chances he's missing on are good chances, and Bertuzzi and Homer can't be blamed for each time Datsyuk misses an open net.
  9. I wonder how San Jose would feel playing us in the first round in a 1 vs. 8 matchup?
  10. That's a pretty big "if" there. Providing we get everyone back healthy, we'll have a pretty good team. However, Franzen will have been away from hockey for a while, so how long before he gets his full game back? Also, don't forget that injuries can always happen in the playoffs, as we found out last year. In a perfect world, the Wings are maybe the best team in the league when healthy, but things haven't gone our way lately. Right now I just hope we can qualify for the playoffs and not have anymore injuries.

    David Jones out 4-6 months

Good for us. Why should we have all the injuries while the divealanche are overachieving and playing healthy. You won't see GMR shedding any tears for Colorado. BTW, this guy may have the simplest name in the NHL by a mile.

    Tired of All the Excuses

I'm tired of people talking about how injuries are the reason we're struggling right now. While injuries are a big factor, none of our injured players are coming back anytime soon, so don't expect anything to change there. I'm more willing to point the finger at the underachievers right now. Here's a list of all the guys who are currently underperforming in my opinion even though they're healthy and in the lineup. Lidstrom Datsyuk Bertuzzi Holmstrom Cleary Zetterberg Rafalski Leino That's a lot of talented players on that list, yet they're all struggling terribly. We should be able to win games just from that list alone, even without the injured players. So we need to stop blaming it entirely on bad luck and injuries, and instead blame the guys on that list. These players have no current excuse for their struggles.

Classic Crymson post. Never has anything to say other than labeling other people bandwagoners.

Enough guys. No flame wars allowed in my threads unless I'm the one involved.

Babcock Stays The Course: No Line Changes

Other than the 4th line, we still need to change lines. Pavel and Hank belong together and looked good tonight.

    Bertuzzi SUCKS

    I personally never doubted him.

Amazing how this team continues to win with Brad May in the lineup. Take him out of the lineup for while, and we lose.

Has Lidstrom recovered from that whole nut-spearing thing? He just looks terrible with his shot right now. He had a great chance twice in the OT and held the puck too long and then missed the net. Simply awful.

I used to like Darren Pang before he became a Blues announcer. Should have stayed in Phoenix.
