Anyone notice that no one dresses enforcers against us anymore? That's because our PK is the other team's enforcer. Seriously, though, this was not as big a deal last year when we could score. However, now we don't have the scoring depth. This has become an epidemic on the team. We can't clear pucks, we can't cover the point, we can't clear the crease, we can't block shots, and we can't make saves. We suck at every phase of penalty killing imaginable. How should Babcock fix this thing?

Whether the team plays well or not, you can still count on one thing. The other team will score at least one PP goal against us and usually it's more.

The Wings haven't scored more than 3 goals in any game. Our top line sucks at scoring goals. Some line combos obviously need to be juggled.

A bench clearing brawl is the kind of thing that can bring a team together at the start of a season. We've got May, Ericsson and the Paralyzer. The Sabres have Montador and a bunch of soft euros. I like our chances.
