I hope it's as long as Franzen's injury.
-
I'd put Lemieux second or third all time, but the bottom line is that 9 and 4 are worn more frequently around the league, while 66 is a rare number. If Howe wore 66, it'd be the same way.

Those are just game misconduct penalties at the end of games that tend to inflate stats. You know, 10 minutes for this and 10 minutes for that. It doesn't mean his team is shorthanded for all that time. I think he'd be a good player here. And if he runs his mouth in the locker room, Lilja or May will shut it anyway.

O.K. if you want active players, then I'll change my list 1. Fedorov - would love to see him leave the KHL and end his career in Detroit, possibly putting his name up in the rafters. 2. Sean Avery - better player than he's given credit for, and could draw lots of PP's for us. 3. Sammy - Provided waayyyy too much humor for me, and I miss some of the laughs. Greatest backhand deke in hockey.

1. Howe 2. Yzerman 3. Sawchuk Duh!!

The rivalry is dead now.

I'm often misunderstood around here. Never cared for Ray (cheater) or Hunter (cheap SOB). McSorley was a great fighter, but not one of my favorites.

Wow, what a mature poster you are? Let's see if you joined in 2002, that means you are about 13 years old now? I'm guessing you were banned for acting like a prick (pun intended) so that's why you had to change your name. Anyway, grow up sunshine and stop thinking about penises so much. Another smartass trying to bait me into something. Leave it to the pros like Shoreline and Opie. Not you.

1. Pavel Bure 2. Tie Domi 3. Behn Wilson 4. Ed Belfour 5. Wayne Gretzky No, that's not a typo at number 1. I just always loved the way he played the game, and he was a player I always liked when I was younger (and more mature). At one time, I would have included Modano and Kariya on that list. They worked their way off my list over the years. Also, even though their prime was before my time, I've seen enough tapes on Lafleur and Gretzky to know what I like about them. Domi was a guy I've come to appreciate more and more after his retirement, for how great a fighter he was despite his size. His height never really mattered even though he was fighting against guys almost a foot taller than him.

I always liked the color of their uniforms. The logo was stupid (what did it mean anyway?), but it's a classic.

That's a funny post considering how I've been here longer than you. Join a MMA forum? Apparently you're saying Bertuzzi should shy away from physical contact in order to stay healthy. However, injuries can occur whether a guy is shy or not. He should play up to his potential and not be afraid of it. Injuries are hard to predict. Just because we signed May doesn't mean other players should be afraid to hit.
-
You're saying that he should shy away from physical contact? Physicality is a good thing in hockey, not a bad thing. He'd be a great compliment to Hank and Pavel's finesse. You want to see players avoiding contact, go watch the KHL. The injuries are not necessarily related to physical play and can occur in many odd ways, just like Franzen's injury. I'm not saying Bertuzzi should dive into the other team's bench and start attacking people, I'm just saying he needs to use his big body more.
-
Yeah, if he can't score with Pavel and Hank on the same line, then he'll never score here. Like I said last night, what I want to see the most from him is punishing hits and him running people into the boards. Haven't seen it so far.

http://www.spike.com/blog/top-ten-teams-with/87671 Pretty funny article, especially what the guy said about the Canucks and their fans on page two. I'd have put the Leafs fans on the list, however, ahead of the Canadiens and Canucks. I hope I got the link to work now. If not, try copy and paste.

Does anyone else notice that Lidstrom seems to be having trouble putting the puck on net? His shots are either blocked or they miss the net high. Don't know what's up with him offensively.
-
Him and Semin would make for a wonderful fight.
-
Not unless he wants to be on the IR for the rest of the season. I think he'll go with Ericsson, though.
-
If he can't tell the difference between a bodycheck and trying to end someone's career, then maybe he shouldn't be playing hockey. In any case, that isn't likely the reason. I think his history with injuries has resulted in him being more timid. He used to try to hit everything that moved. Now, I'm comparing his physicality to Kopecky.
-
I understand the skill dropoff, but I don't get why he doesn't play as physical as he used to. He just looks scared to use his body out there.
-
Is it just me, or does Bertuzzi look like a bigger version of Kopecky right now? The guy looks lazy out there and for some reason refuses to throw his big body around. This isn't what I expected out of him. He isn't exactly piling up scoring chances either these 3 plus games.
-
When was the last time the Wings dressed an enforcer and the other team didn't? Now that's irony for you.
-
I hate to sound realistic, but we're likely to have other injuries at forward between now and the end of the season when Franzen comes back. There's no way everyone else will stay healthy. Thus, Holland has to make some kind of move eventually.
-
Been a while since we've had a Frenchman on the team. He's better than Howard in any case.
-
Wear a Evgeni Malkin Halloween mask to get Ovie's attention. Keep in mind that you have to be 6'3 in order to make this look convincing.

Bob Probert wore 24. Are you guys too young to remember him that you're mentioning Chelios as having that number? May should have called Probert and then Chelios. Probert's number should be retired.
