Eaves in the top 6? That would be a disaster. I'd love to see Bertuzzi actually do something useful and earn his spot. This could be a chance for him to step up and show that he's still somebody good.

I never thought I'd see Shanny battle for a job with Maltby and Draper of all people. Has he really sunk that low in terms of production? I love this man.

I hate these kinds of situations. Ericsson looked terribly hurt last night, yet he's miraculously fine. No one saw Franzen get hurt, yet now he has to miss most of the season. I guess the Swedish Olympic team also takes a big hit now.

Horrible news. The biggest knock on Franzen is his health, since there always seems to be something wrong with him. The guy is made of glass. It'll be tough winning the division even with him healthy, but now this makes matters worse. Only 3 games into the season, and we're picking up right where we left off in the playoffs with injuries.

I don't think we could afford him. Dude makes like $30 million a fight or something. Holland would have to cough up our entire salary just for 2 fights.

Hey, enforcer threads are definitely not boring. If you took the time to read through them, you'd quickly see that there is lots of fun and creativity in those threads.

Do you really want to get into a present flame war with a future mod? As for the PK, they did a good job of blocking shots, but they still suck at clearing pucks and gave up too many chances, including one PP goal. Lots of work to be done there still.

I wouldn't be surprised, but then again, there would likely have been more NHL teams on his list. Like the Leafs and Oilers for starters.

Wouldn't it be great. Hopefully Matt will give me some special permission to be a mod for a week. Or maybe we could do a LGW contest, where the winner becomes a mod for a month or so.

Yeah, the Yankees should have been on the list. Their fans have a great way around admitting that their success is largely based on their insane salary. Don't have much experience with OSU fans, so I can't speak there.

I already theorized that his presence resulted in the Hawks not going for scrums after whistles, like they usually do. I'm happy with how things went. I think he and Helm would make for a great checking tandem, but unfortunately, May will be sent down when Helm comes back.

Whoever wrote the article seems to have something personal against the Canucks. Some of that stuff sounded pretty harsh. Funny how he called the Sedin twins homoerotic. The thought never crossed my mind.

Ozzie didn't get run by anybody. And game 4 was hardly the only incident of Chicago trying to play rough. Tonight, they were very timid against us, which is uncharacteristic of past history.

Are you not willing to admit that the Hawks frequently run the Wings players and try to start scrums after whistles? Cause nothing like that happened tonight. Nice video evidence, BTW.

See, having an enforcer does deter opponents. The Hawks usually try to rough the Wings up after whistles, but nothing like that happened tonight. What a coincidence!
