We have to hope Ericsson isn't out a long time. Lebda and Meech paired together could be a potential problem.
-
Did May get kicked out of the game or is he injured?
-
Hopefully this team has learned how to keep a 2 goal lead by now.
-
Babcock needs to change the lines. The top 6 needs to be rearranged somehow.
-
Kopecky has looked invisible tonight. How shocking?
-
The game is on NHL network if anyone doesn't know already.
-
Our stars are picking up right where they left off in the Finals. Totally invisible. Bertuzzi looks useless out there. He seems afraid to hit and hardly ever touches the puck.
-
It was his fault. He tried a backhanded pass in his own zone and made it a lazy pass at that.
-
Ninety-sux with the turnover. Jake Ryan will be all over him now.
-
I hate to sound like a dick, but this would have been our banner raising ceremony night. Damn that game 7! Seriously, the Wings look completely disinterested to play hockey tonight. The comatose fans at the JLA don't seem to care either. Just a dead atmosphere right now.

Detroit Free Press: Chelios expected to sign with Chicago Wolves
GMRwings1983 replied to 40#1Fan's topic in General
Well, I guess it's better than the KHL. I'd still rather see him out there screwing up rather than Lebda. -
I hope he runs Kopecky the whole game. Too bad the playoff choker is injured for them, cause I'd love to see him get ran also.

So you support every single decision Holland has ever made? I don't. I think he's a great GM, but he's made some mistakes, several of which were in this offseason. Why should I support the decisions he makes that are not in agreement with my own? I wouldn't have ever joined a fan forum if I did. And yeah I think Holland has been afraid of signing enforcers in the past. Whatever the reason may be, it's a fact that we haven't had that many enforcers in this decade. No exaggeration there. Other GM's aren't as afraid of carrying an enforcer.
-
The bolded part is right, but everything else in your post was wrong and exaggerated. Funny that you'd criticize me and ESAD for exaggeration, when you just did it yourself. If I didn't support the team, I wouldn't be posting here, and I'd have a lot less stress over the years from watching them. There are posters here who are anti-enforcer and don't believe that players like that have a place in the game, so it's B.S. for you to say otherwise. And I'm not here to stir up the boards, because that takes care of itself around here. It's not like I joined last month. So yeah, there are anti-enforcers here.

That guy was a maniac. I don't think they'd allow someone with his personality to play in the NHL, but he hasn't played in a long time anyway.
-
Yeah, he finally had enough of the Wings roster and some of the posters around here who have no clue as to the importance of an enforcer. He'd have been proud to see this day, however, since May was his favorite player ever!
-
Has a Wings player ever fought any of those 3 men? Hey, If May gets slaughtered, then we'll bring in Parker.
-
Yeah, I forgot about Bertuzzi. Now our lineup has an enforcer, a crippler, and a possible return in PAIN TRAIN. Also, Ericsson is a big kid who can throw 'em from time to time. Wow, we actually have a team that may stand up for itself. No more Sammy and Hudler to run and hide when the other team starts to shove. What's Downey up to these days?
-
Why would Helm be scratched instead of Maltby or Draper?
-
I agree with Mike Babcock. Enforcers do deter cheapshots somewhat. The guy is the most succesful coach since the lockout, so how dare you anti-enforcer people disagree with his comments? Do you really think you're smarter than Mike Babcock? Maybe you guys should coach the team instead of him. With May, Bertuzzi, Lilja and Ericsson in the lineup, this could be the toughest Wings team of the decade.
-
Looks like Babcock doesn't believe in the idea of enforcers not deterring anything. Take that, anti-enforcer people.

I just had my first multiple orgasm ever.

A heavy? Gill is a heavy punching bag if nothing else. Rypien is a lot better than him, especially when Gill isn't hugging.
-
Great. Now we might actually win the Stanley Cup.

I remember how excited I got during the squaroff of that fight. I jumped up and screamed with anticipation of Kopecky repeating his beating of Sharp. Ten seconds later, I had this face.
