Did McDavid break Gartner's mark? I believe Gartner started at the red line too. -
Why would any big free agent want to play for the Wings? If they didn't 5 years ago, they sure as hell won't now. The first thing any free agent looks at is money. The second is desire to play for that team. This team can offer neither of those.

Last year, NBC Sports named Tayes the 2nd greatest captain in NHL history, only behind Beliveau. I knew this top 100 thing would be tilted toward players still alive, so they can appear on the stage together. Why Joe Nieuwendyk appeared and Malkin didn't, we'll never know. I also can't believe Bill Cook and Brimsek didn't make the list. I'd be more upset about Nieuwendyk than Tayes. Guy was lucky to even make the HHOF, let alone be on the top 100.

Jesus, what league is that? Those jerseys look almost as bad as the ones the Islanders wore in their last game.

Based on that, Darren McCarty and Kirk Maltby are not as good as Nyquist and Tatar. There's different roles for different players. Tatar and Nyquist suck at their roles. This isn't a stickhandling contest we're talking about here.

Ott and Miller are 4th liners. They aren't out there to produce offensively. I'd rank underachievers like Nyquist and Tatar below those players this year.

See post above. They're trying to burn the clock and win in a shootout. Either that or Blashill actually thinks DeKeyser and Abdelkader are good offensive players (which is scary) -

Pretty obvious they're playing for the shootout. They put defensive minded players out there with no creativity. They play conservative. Unfortunately, they still lose. Can't play conservative in a 3 on 3. -

And Dr. Zhivago ends the game. This team can never get it to the shootout. They need to stop putting trash like DeKeyser and Abdelkader on in OT. -
Unlike about 5 years ago, not much is being made of Detroit leading the league in man games lost. Maybe it's because this team doesn't have a lot of talent to begin with. Still, the health of this team has been terrible this year. Drew Miller on the 3rd line to the rescue!

I can't play any game since completing the Witcher 3 DLC's. Nothing else can satisfy me after that. They should only make Witcher games from now on.
