Not really, since our PK also sucked in the playoffs, when Ozzie was good. Thus, it can't all be on the goaltender, since he did improve his play. It was our s***ty defense that caused it in my opinion. The goals that we gave up in the playoffs on the PP were mostly shots from the point that Ozzie never saw. The PK unit did a poor job of blocking shots and covering the point. I blame it all on Hudler, even though he didn't play the PK.

I can already see the fear of God in Kopecky's face, if Lilja was to drop the gloves with him. I mean, he's witnessed Lilja's wrath first hand. We know Kopecky won't throw any punches, so there's no fear of any concussion possibly occuring.

I'm calling it now. He comes back for the first Chicago game, and drops the gloves with Kopecky, and proceeds to pummel Kopecky into a coma.

Hopefully, there won't be a KHL by then. Hell, I wonder if I'll still be on LGW by the time he leaves. I can already see the thread which blasts Datsyuk for leaving to go to the KHL. Posters will say that his number shouldn't be retired.

What made it ridiculous wasn't only that there never is any such fight in hockey, but that their team had just won the Memorial Cup. They should have been celebrating like crazy, instead they get into a circle and root for a stickfight. Because hockey players don't shake hands after games. Instead, they engage in stickfights. Worst movie ever. Oh, and like I said, Mighty Ducks was a Disney movie, so it wasn't meant to be serious.

Bombay. That triple deke was awesome. As a hockey fan, I was offended by the film Youngblood. The end of that movie was a joke, most likely directed by someone who'd never watched hockey before in their life. At least "Mighty Ducks" was never meant to be taken seriously as a film.

Datsyuk's hits are few and far between. I think of Crosby as the more physical player, because he's more apt to play in front of the net, where he gets many of his goals.

And Lilja won't be around this time to stand up for him, either.

Great post, and it's unfortunate that people who are biased will naturally overrate Datsyuk over Crosby, just because he plays for the Wings. I don't know how anyone can say that those 2 players are about equal in their ability to face pressure or in playoff performance. Pavel is a better defensive forward than Crosby and is better on draws, and that's about it. He has no other advantages over Sid.

Really? Considering Crosby has the whole hockey world watching him, he's done pretty well for himself. Datsyuk doesn't have as much pressure, but hasn't played as well in the clutch. Don't know how you can say that's a toss up. Also, by playoffs I don't just mean Finals, I meant the entire playoffs. There's no argument for Datsyuk being better in the playoffs than Crosby. So all you have left for Datsyuk is once again defense and faceoffs. Crosby takes the rest. You gave Pavel more credit than he deserved in your post.

They look real to me. As for Hudler's picture, that part looks fake. He's never been that muscular before in his life. The guy in the picture is way more ripped than him.

Point is that Downey wasn't exactly taking up useful roster spots. By the time Downey joined the team, Maltby was already a shell of his former self. As for Kopecky, he should have never gotten a roster spot, because he didn't do anything well. Downey was more of a tradtional 4th line player than he was. Checking and fighting is more important than skating on the 4th line in my opinion. Kopecky's game revolved around doing nothing but taking up space.

I only cited it because what's his face kept criticizing me for picking Crosby, and I just pointed out that I wasn't the only one doing so. You made it sound like that was my only argument for picking him, which it clearly wasn't, since I've stated other reasons for doing so. So yeah, you did misquote my posts in a way. Nice try. Does anyone have a reason for picking Datsyuk other than two-way play? Not from what I've seen. This whole topic depends on what attributes you judge as most important, hence it's purely subjective. The OP didn't say pick the top 20 two-way players, or else my votes would have been different.

Yeah, that's what I'm basing it on. I've explained a million times why I'm voting for Crosby and Malkin ahead of Datsyuk, yet you come up with this s***ty interpretation. Nice going, dude. Way to counter my posts. I'm actually one of the few posters that's explaining why I'm ranking them the way I do instead of just blindly writing names. All around play means s*** when your star player isn't putting up numbers in the clutch. Scoring points in the playoffs is more important than being a shut-down center only. Datsyuk isn't a 3rd line checking forward, but he played like it in the playoffs. I'll take Crosby's scoring over Datsyuk's great defense but no scoring any day. Excuse me for wanting an all-star to actually score goals in the playoffs. Anyway, I'm tired of restating the same s***, but I just don't like to be misinterpreted.
