I said it earlier. I hope he stays as long as he makes no more than one million dollars. If we're paying based on Finals performance, he should get .50 cents, because Draper scored more goals in the Finals than he did, and we acquired Draper for only $1.

Godard. He played most of the regular season just like Downey did for us last year. The pattern continues. Next year, some of these soft euros who didn't produce (hudler, sammy, krapacky) should be sent to the Wild in exchange for Boogaard.

I feel awful that I have to respond to your post, because it's a waste of time as are you. I don't care what Crosby did in this series. Apparently he did enough to skate the Cup and took up much attention from Lidstrom and Hank.

Even if they don't win again, how's that supposed to make any of us feel good? There really is no silver lining with this loss. All year long you want a game 7 at home in the Finals, and we blew it. This team won something like 12 games in a row at closing out teams, but in the last 2 years, we've had some hiccups. The killer instinct isn't there anymore.

This is just as sad as losing to the divealanche in 1999 and 2000. I've grown to dislike this Pens team. I can't believe a no-talent hack like Hal Gill is going to have his name on the Cup.

Amen. It's like having a one-night stand with a girl which doesn't end up being so good. In the morning, she wants you to start dating her. I don't think so. Hossa can go back to s***tsburgh for all I care.

It hasn't hit me yet how disappointing this loss is. We could have skated the Cup in our building tonight. It never felt that way during the game, but I realize it now. Pathetic showing. No hunger because they were there last year. That's what happens when you've won before, you lose your hunger.

We've been to the Finals 2 years in a row, so I don't know how much better we can get. What makes it so disappointing is realizing how hard it is to get there again. I don't know what the Wings will do next year. I know we'll make the playoffs and have a good regular season, but to get back to 3 wins in the Finals is going to be hard again.
