I don't think losing players should win this award, but then again MVP of the playoffs doesn't by itself suggest that that team should have won the Cup. Sadly, I'd be surprised at this point if Malkin doesn't win it. He's been the best player of the playoffs, but hopefully the writers will give it to the team that wins the Cup, in which case it would go to Ozzie.

He's jealous that Hank has outplayed him two years in a row now in the Finals, and he's jealous that he's not as good a two-way forward that Hank is. That's why he's showing frustration and acting like a little *****. He's just outclassed by Zetterberg in front of the hockey world yet again, and he can't handle the embarrassment.

Those comments they made about dissension on the Wings bench cost them big time. The Wings looked like they took those comments to heart. Whether there was or wasn't dissension wasn't the point. The point is when you've won 2 games in a row, there's no reason to make stupid comments like that, when you should know that it's going to piss off the other team. They should have just kept their mouths shut and played hockey. Whoever made those comments to the media for the Pens cost their team the game and probably the series. This team is obviously still immature and hasn't learned much from last year when they kept whining about the refs constantly.

I figured it was something like that. Just because I want to see more fights at the JLA and want to see us fight back from time to time doesn't mean I like to watch aimless brutality.

If that's your opinion that's fine, but several people here have agreed with me and several analysts talked about it yesterday, thus I don't think my argument was off in the least bit. What I said wasn't a stretch, however, coming in here and saying that it was the worst analysis you ever heard is an overstatement, and I had to call you out for it since it's my freaking topic. You don't know much about sports if you don't think that players listen to the media, especially when their opponents are doubting them or talking bad about them in any way. Athletes will use the littlest thing as motivation sometimes. I'm not saying it's the only reason we won, but I'm sure it had a big part to do with it. The Pens got overconfident and the Wings came out fired up to teach them a lesson. That's how I see it. I know it's the SCF, but the Wings didn't look like they had any passion in the previous games. Sometimes it takes something like this to piss the opposition off. It's like waking a sleeping giant. Your response might be the single worst I've ever seen in my life, since you didn't really back it up with anything.

Winning game 7 in the SCF is almost impossible, especially for a team that didn't even try tonight. The Pens have maybe a 10% chance of winning this series, and that's if the refs help.

I think Flip loves to play the Pens, because he's played better in the Finals the last 2 years now than I've ever seen him play at any other juncture. It's like his goal scoring touch comes to life when he's playing this team, but is nonexistent when he plays other teams.

What advantage would we lose? I'm all for the poster's idea. I'd love to see Talbot and Cooke try to pick on guys tougher than them instead of going after Pavel and Hudler.

He's jealous that he's been badly outplayed by a better player, even though everyone talks about Crosby as if he's better. He's got a good way to go before he becomes an all around force as a player. Right now he's one dimensional.

Babcock just pointed out in the press conference how the Wings don't make comments like that about the other team when they win. So yes, the Pens are immature.

Several of their players made some comments about the Wings losing composure on the bench or several players supposedly yelling at each other. Whether that happend or not is irrelevant. There's no reason to make that comment.

Olczyk has some sort of Penis Envy towards the Penguins, just because he failed as a coach there.

We need to keep bringing it here, despite the score. Tire out their defense for the next game and embarass them on the scoreboard.

This is probably not the answer you're looking for, but it honestly doesn't matter. If this team comes out with hunger and passion, they should be able to win with just about any variation of line combos. If they play like they don't care about the Cup, (like they have at multiple times in this series), no amount of coaching or cleverly formed line combos will help them win. It's not Babcock's fault if this team doesn't care.

He needs to stop always going for that stupid move at the blueline, where he tries to fake people out, because the other team is on to him, and it has created several turnovers already against us. He needs to shoot more, be fancy less. On defense, you never know what you'll get from him this season. Not nearly as consistent as he was last year for us.

We need to play with more heart and desperation, since that's the only way to get around being tired. At this point, there's no reason we should be more fatigued than them. We have a lot of young guys on our team with only a few veterans that either never look tired, or play on the 4th line where they never have to get tired. The injuries are a different reason, however, and those can make players look like they're tired when they're really hurt.

Good point. We would have won the series in 4 and Pens fans would accuse the Wings of cheating as a result.
