It's too bad the Pens didn't score on that situation, just so the league could be shown up even more for the futility of its officiating. That was one of the worst calls I've ever seen made in hockey, just because of how long the refs let it slide. Imagine how pissed Babcock would be if that turned into a goal.

Downey would have won the game for us. He would have injured Gonchar with a bodycheck earlier in the game, which would have prevented him from scoring that GWG.

All great players draw attention from defenders. That's not excuse for his play. In fact, there are no excuses for his play in the playoffs this year.

If he does come back, he'll most likely be useless, since he can barely even walk. If you guys are waiting for the Pavel Datsyuk of the regular season to magically suit up for us, it's not going to happen.

The Pens can only win when they're getting lots of PP's. Our PK has been godawful beyond all recognition. I can't believe we've actually been good at it in previous seasons.

You do realize that fighting is allowed in hockey, right? There wouldnt' have been anything wrong for Ericsson to do that.

Will someone please show me where it says that we couldn't have swept this series. Is there a rule like that or something? If I'm not mistaken, we've swept the Finals before.

Ericsson should have challenged Cooke at the end of the game after it was 4-2. At that point we had no chance to win the game, and Cooke has been playing dirty the whole series.

That was ******* *** as was the entire 3rd for us. I hope we didn't choke the series away with that effort in the period. BTW, our players should learn from Talbot as to how to shoot at the empty net.

Good question. Answer is, I don't know. IT doesn't matter what the series score is. If the Wings want the Cup that bad, they'll have to win even if they're up 2-0.

Where's that deadly wrist shot that Hossa showed during the regular season? His aim is about as good as Sammy's right now.

I'm worried about Ozzie not seeing very much rubber recently. These are the kinds of games we usually lose. We outplay a team severely, outshoot them, and still find a way to lose the game. I think the Pens have finally understood how to beat us. Let us dominate them and hope they score on the few chances that they get.
