Pavel and Hank didn't play well together in the Anaheim series, so I'm not sure that will work. At this point, all the line combos are a mess because Datsyuk is out. Chances are that if he comes back, the lines will be juggled again, despite today's game.

How can you say he looks awful when he's hardly ever on the ice? I haven't see enough of him to make an evaluation of his recent play.

So no Wings player should ever fight again in order to avoid injury? May as well ban fighting altogether. I'm glad we won the game, and that our small guys didn't get into any fights, but I'd love to see Ericsson grab a midget like Burish and just wail away on him when he tries to act tough. How is it a non-issue? With Lidstrom injured, we needed to make sure certain defenseman didn't log too much time on the ice. Better balance was needed, especially in a game that went the way this one did.

Ericsson needs to challenge one of the Hawks players right now. I don't see anyone currenlty in their lineup who can beat him in a fight, so there's no worry. We've already sent a message on the scoreboard, now it's time to sent a physical message.

Knowing how Lidstrom has been in the past, it would have to be something more serious than what the average player can handle. A ***** like Havlat looks dead and yet is back in this game, while Lidstrom didn't look hurt at all, and yet he's out. What rotten luck and irony.

It's the long term possibilities of the injury that I'm worried about. I think we can win a few games without Lidstrom and Datsyuk, but if those guys don't come back at some point, we're in trouble as far as winning the Cup goes. Hopefully, they'll both play in the same game, but I still have no idea what happened to Lidstrom. The guy has never missed a playoff game from what I can remember.

I love this s***. We're winning the battle to every loose puck right now. This is what this team should always play like as far as effort goes. Let's hope they play this hard for 60 minutes, unlike what we've seen in previous games.
