What nonsense? If Datsyuk doesn't play, someone has to fill a roster spot. Has Maltby really been that great in the playoffs that he's give us something we don't already have? At least Downey can do that much. Hell, Maltby doesn't even hit anymore. I've always liked the guy, but it's hard to excuse his play. And no I don't want to see a skilled player like Leino on the 4th line. He's too talented to be playing with Draper and Abdelkalder. They're not scorers.

I seriously doubt that one slow 4th liner could potentially lose the entire series for us. He brings great energy and hitting to offset all that. So far our hitting isn't as good in this series as the Anaheim one. Besides, there's enough speed on our 4th line already to be faster than their 4th line. Also, I'm just tired of seeing Eager doing whatever he wants out there. Since no one else is willing to challenge him, I want Downey to do it. If this keeps up, Eager may just behead one of our players with a bodycheck. He's a loose cannon out there. Burish is the same way. Excuse me for wanting to see some Blackhawks players getting beat up, and realizing that we can win the game and a few fights at the same time. Having one guy who fights back won't cost us the series.

GMR doesn't make jokes. Eager is getting too much freedom running our guys around. Even Anaheim didn't have anyone who was this bullish with us.

He hardly played at all in that triple OT game. When a defenseman gets no ice time in a long game like that, he must be the worst player in the NHL. I don't think he's that bad.

He could kick Ben Eager's ass and hopefully injure him so that he won't run our players anymore.

How can I, he never gets a real chance? Even when he played in these playoffs, he hardly ever got icetime. I know he's not any kind of good player anymore, but he's not as bad as Babcock makes him look.

JR is and always has been an idiot, but I do wish that Chelli was playing. With two consecutive long playoff runs, he would have been able to extend his record playoff games played to an even higher amount. It's a shame that he hasn't played that much in these last two runs.

He's a spot picking visor wearing Euro, but he'd be a vast improvement over our current toughness at forward. He hits like a ton and does get in quite a few fights, despite some of the liberties he takes during these fights. I'd have to say yes knowing that Holland is unlikely to go after anyone tougher.

Don't forget that prior to last year, Hossa was always labeled as a playoff choker. He played hard for the Pens last year in the playoffs and looked like a beast in this regular season, but he just doesn't look like he has it anymore.
