Well, I guess this thread is still alive, which I had a feeling it would be for at least a few more games. I still say Hossa will be the next to score, but I'm beginning to wonder whether him or Pavel will ever score again. -

In Babcock's tenure, yes. The Dave Lewis era and the end of the Bowman era, we were atrocious in OT's. With all our offensive talent, you'd think we'd have more OT wins with guys that can score goals. -

I'd love to see some line changes here to start the OT, just to spark the team. Much like we saw against Anaheim in game 4, new line combos can create an instant spark. -

I hate it when the Wings play in OT. The result is usually inevitable. I hope it ends quickly. Zetterberg wins the opening faceoff to Lidstrom, Lidstrom takes a few steps forward, shoots it from center ice, and SCORES! How's that for a prediction. -

Our guys need to play tougher physically. Chicago is knocking our players on their asses right now. I know several of the posters are complaining about goonery, but these are just good hard hits on their part and are players aren't handling it well and aren't giving back themselves. We were way more physical against Anaheim. -

What about the other 10 or so consecutive games allowing a PP goal. Were those all flukes? When it becomes a recurring theme, then there should be cause for concern. -

Which basically means he's doubly responsible for the goal. Time for another Sammy bashing thread to be started here on LGW. He didn't look too hot on the PP either. Why can't Babcock play him exclusively on the 3rd line only? -

It starts with the entry. We need to do a better job of denying them entry into the zone in the first place. The rest is on the defense not doing a good job of tying people up in front of the net. -

It's a part of hockey. Every team does it to some extent, other than the Wings because we don't have the personnel for it. -

That was a God awful period. Ozzie is on pace to face almost 60 shots. The defense needs to be way better than this s***. Also, our concecutive games streak allowing a PP goal just went up by another game. The PK is our biggest weakness right now and tonight it was Sammy's blunder much like Franzen in the last game. Also, where are Hank and Franzen? Very quiet period for them. -

Or how much hungrier will they be after getting so close and not winning? Especially Malkin, who was out of gas by the end of the Philly series last year. I don't think he'll be the same this time around.

I'm afraid he may be saving that face for his former team the Pens. If we play them, I think he'll turn into a beast again. -
I hope the Hawks players don't read this topic, or else they'll actually be motivated to win the series. This is bad karma for the Wings.

Not one of the options. Read the OP. The options are Hossa, Homer, Datsyuk and Flip. The 4 players struggling the most right now to score. -
Hossa being a Hall of Famer is a 50/50 thing. He's never won anything in his career as of yet, even individually. To me he's not a Hall of Famer. Maltby is more popular and more liked in Detroit than Hossa. Why would he have to give up his number?
