Actually, I heard that Versus may not show either game and will instead air a special show which recaps the Penguins great run through the playoffs so far.
-
I hope the OP is right. I also hope that Brad Watson and Dan O'Halloran aren't officiating the next game.
-
I never said it did. I'm just saying that people are overreacting over something the Wings will consistently have to deal with as long as their team has this kind of roster. The Ducks did exacty what their team does best. Goon it up.
-
Anaheim also had their 1st line on the ice and we still got exploited physically. Hell, their 1st line can beat up our 4th line if they felt like it. I don't know what the f*** you and everyone else are whining about with this 20 page thread just because someone decided to fight our skilled players. Welcome to hockey, where they actually fight. Teams know what the Wings weakness is and they're going to exploit it. Some of you guys need to get over that. Niedermayer's elbow wasn't even close to being something that should be suspendable and we've all seen a million worse things that went by without suspension Stop your whining.
-
Rumor has it that he will be playing on the 1st line tomorrow night with Franzen and Datsyuk. Finally, we have a right handed shot playing with Pavel. This could turn things around for Datsyuk and now no one will pick on him with McCarty on the ice.
-
I'm proud of Pavel Datsyuk for getting beat up by a 40 year old grey-haired pansy who never fights. I don't know how you guys can say he stood up for himself when he didn't even throw a punch. He had one glove still on for crying out loud. Datsyuk didn't look like he even knew the fight was happening, so I don't know why you guys are applauding him just for hanging on for dear life.
-
20 pages of this and all because Datsyuk fights like a baby sucking on its mother's breast. You guys need to come off this. Yeah, someone actually tried to exploit the Wings for being a soft team that doesn't fight. Big surprise. Like I've said before, we're lucky we didn't play anyone last year in the playoffs who would have tried the same stuff consistently.
-
Yes, he is pine furniture.
-
It is a big game, because the Ducks beat us twice in a row now in playoff series, and the Wings are trying to shed the label of being a soft team that can't beat bigger teams. It's not the biggest game since 2002, because that label would have to go to last year's SCF games against the Pens.

Maybe Washington can pull off a "Miracle on Manchester" tonight. NOT! Somehow, I wish Crosby and his boys were the ones down 5-0, but what can you do.
-
Mike Green is showing everyone how useless he is when he's not scoring points. They should take his name off the Norris trophy ballot and replace it with someone who actually plays defense.
-
Who cares what Eric Lindros's oli boy said?
-
I hope this s*** doesn't happen to us at home tomorrow. I can't imagine how excited Bettman is right now that his boys are winning so convincingly.
-
There needs to be more optimism in this thread. After all, there's no way we could ever lose a game seven at home to an 8th seeded team from California with Chris Osgood in net, right?
-
Do you think Tampa Bay will let us have him?
-
I hope your'e not referring to Maltby or Kopecky with that description.
-
We've yet to get off to a good start in this series. Hopefully this will be the game where we're up 3-0 after the 1st period.
-
He would have played hard from the opening of the game, which is something most of the team didn't do. That's something you can always count on from a tough guy battling for a roster spot, as opposed to some euro who knows that his roster spot is clinched already.
-
The 2nd goal wasn't his fault, but the 1st goal resulted off a penalty by Kronwall due to Ozzie playing a puck he had no business of trying to play. So I blame that 1st goal on Osgood for putting them on the PP to begin with.
-
Hopefully, but probably not. Our enforcer is our PP. Unfortunately, when the game is over that enforcer isn't there to protect our players from getting their asses kicked. I don't see Holland making many changes in the offseason even if we get blown out in game 7.
-
Abdelkalder and Helm haven't played together on the 4th line. Helm is the 3rd line center right now. So yes our 4th line does suck at creating scoring chances, but then again, so did everyone else last night.
-
If Niedermayer likes elbows so much, then he must have enjoyed the one Tie Domi gave him in the 2001 playoffs. Too bad his career didn't end that night. Then we wouldn't have to see this s*** acting all tough now.
-
Shaking hands doesn't mean you're telling the other guy that you like him. Otherwise, nobody would have shaken Avery's hand last year, instead of it just being Brodeur who did so. It's just a tradition that needs to be followed, not necessarily liked or enjoyed by the players.
-
Actually, the Ducks have kind of stunk up the joint. One line has done all the work for them and they've been severely outshot and outhit in this series, and they've taken the 3rd period off for every game. That's why so many people are frustrated that this is going the distance.
-
We're lucky the Ducks don't send out their toughest guys to fight us. We can't even beat up Niedermayer and Perry of all people. Where are all those brave punches Datsyuk threw at Gary Roberts last year in the Finals when the refs were holding him?
