You've got a few raging complexes of your own. The internet is for complaining. It's a means of escape and there's no reason to criticize people for making posts around here based on how they feel. Remove Draper's name and replace it with Lilja. Then you have an ideal 4th line. Downey is a great guy, and it's amazing how the toughest guys on the ice are often the nicest off the ice. Many skilled players act like they're above everyone else, but tough guys tend to be more humble.

Despite his fraudulent invite into the All Star Game, Giguere has not had a consistent season. Also, other than their top players, there isn't much depth to this team. The role players have been awful for them this season.

Probably Ozzie, since he's been so inconsistent all season. At this point, I'm keeping my fingers crossed hoping for him to play about 10 consecutive games really well.

Get rid of the instigator rule. It's a clever attempt by the league to get closer to ridding itself of fighting. If someone hit Lidstrom or Datsyuk with a good clean hit, I'd want to see one of our guys go over and make the other player pay for it.

People here on LGW pay way too much attention to San Jose. Who cares if they finish ahead of us in the standings? We've won the Cup before with and without home ice advantage. Granted, it's been forever since we started a series on the road, but I've seen too much happen as a Wings fan to assume that home ice is going to be some kind of huge advantage for us. At this point I can envision us winning game 7 on the road, or losing game 7 at home. I realize these San Jose threads are going to pop up with every game they play, but in my opinion we don't have to care so much about their team until (if) we actually play them in the playoffs.

No, even then it wouldn't matter. It would just be degrading to the game and to the fans if such an attitude existed on any team.

Then this team is a bunch of malingerers who shouldn't be playing pro sports, and shouldn't be getting paid money to waste our time watching them. The fans at the JLA should all have full refunds for the entire season if it did happen. It's still a bizzarre idea, because this isn't boxing where athletes have been known to tank on purpose. I don't see a sports team doing something like this. Not if they have any self-respect.

Is this thread for real? I suppose Kopecky is actually a great fighter who's been hiding his offensive potential on purpose. Also, Sammy can actually aim the puck really well. Furthermore, Babcock has told Ozzie that he should only stop the shots that he feels like stopping. No need to risk having your hand broken going for a glove save. Just let it go by you from time to time. The puck can't hurt you if it doesn't hit you.

If they are bored, then they'll be golfing by late April. Teams that have won the Cup in recent memory have fallen apart come playoff time, or didn't even make the playoffs. It happened probably because of the Cup hangover. If this team does turn on the switch come playoff time, it'll be the most impressive thing they've ever done, because right now they're almost dead last in GAA.

If you're going after other posters and accusing them of not being fans anymore, then yes you are wrong. Nobody is saying they don't want to be a fan anymore. Apparently, you can't see the difference and so you're putting words in other people's mouths. Ah, but look at the time. Oh really? The only things you guys have done is go after people who are making those criticisms from what it seems. And nobody is jumping off any bandwagon. People here are still Wings fans, even if they're disappointed. You don't have to kiss ass all the time to be a real fan.

Some of the blind homers on this board need to stop acting like they're so much better than everyone else. This forum isn't some "feat of faith" where people should be tested. It's an internet fan forum. People should be concerned about the goaltending and defense, and most people are smart enough to know that being near last in defense doesn't ever equate to winning the Stanley Cup. The fact that we have one of the best records in the league is good, but as we've seen in the past, that doesn't really matter come playoff time. You guys are internet NAZI'S. Stop this self-righteous crap.
