Wow, I guess we're the wussiest team in any league now. This makes things look even more embarassing.
-
Well, in case you haven't heard, most of us haven't been too pleased with your play this season. We figured your upside would be better and it appears that you got overpaid in the offseason. Sorry to be so blunt.
-
What is it with Wings players making posts on LGW all of sudden? Apparently, today Valtterri Fillpulla is joining us here on LGW.
-
Can the mods please change the title of this thread by adding the word "suck" at the end?
-
Getting to see Marian Hossa play for the Red Wings for one season. Too bad the league put in that damn salary cap a few years back, or we could keep Hossa for the future as well as add more stars in the process.
-
I didn't say we had to fight all the time. I said that the pace we're currently on for FM is pathetic. We could at least make it look like we fight back from time to time. You obviously overblew my post, at 1 in the morning no less. Hey, right about now I'd welcome the idea of us finishing with 15 fights, even though that would still be dead last in the league by a wide margin. That's what I meant by pathetic. His hand looked fine to me last night when he was scoring all those goals. Kicking Hamhuis' ass (who BTW isn't much of a fighter himself) wouldn't have been a bad idea. All our Cups came in years where we dressed tougher rosters than in years we didn't win the Cup. Apparently you didn't notice that when you made your smart ass post.

Sounds good to me. Although I have Neil down as one of Lilja's victims already. It'd be good to see Franzen become that legit power forward, but tonight he showed his willingness (or lack thereof) to drop the gloves.
-
Exactly. The Ducks are a wonderful example of how you can't win the Cup with fighters on............oh wait, nevermind. Seriously, though, we don't have to fight as often as the Ducks, but anything is better than finishing in the single digits again in the fighting department. This is just too pathetic for any hockey team not playing in some European league.
-
Hopefully Lilja will give Hossa some pointers for his next fight. Those punches were a tad bit stronger than Semin's. Now that punch that Lilja hit Souray with.... That's the kind of power that every man can only dream of having in his fists.
-
I can't believe you'd sell out like that mindfly.
-
Good for Hossa standing up for himself, but god this team is f***ing pathetic right now in the fighting department. It's been a while since the JLA has seen some real entertainment when it comes to that part of the game.
-
I didn't know people went on LGW while at work. Who could have guessed that? Seriously, though, when Kopecky bloodied Patrick Sharp I got as excited as a kid in a candy store, thinking that we had seen the beginning of something special. Since then, he hasn't even come close to doing anything physical. I'm wondering if he had an out of body experience during that fight?
-
Thomas Kopecky, is that you? If that is you, then you suck. Even for a 4th liner. Please leave the team so that we can replace you with a physical forward who actually fights.
-
Yet the dumb ass fans in Montreal still voted him to start the ASG. Really puts things into perspective on what a joke the ASG is doesn't it? Oh well, at least they still have Robert Lang. He doesn't fit any of those descriptions in your post.
-
Say that to Sheldon Souray's face right after Lilja dropped him on his fat ass. Or did he tie him up to? There's also that Patrick Sharp fellow. Because people on this forum are stupid enough to think that Drake, Downey and McCarty had almost nothing to do with this team's emerging grit over the course of the season and the playoffs. That's what happens when the team is last in fighing majors every year. You'd think that winning the Cup would have taught people a lesson after all those playoff disappointments in previous years.
-
I would say that they rotate too many forwards on the PK to make anyone get used to regular PK duty, but that wasn't exactly a problem last season. Bottom line is that the goalie has to be the best penalty killer, and our goalie has sucked all year. It's no coincidence that the PK is suffering also as a result. Good thing Ozzie can't affect our PP as well.
-
Didn't you hear? With similar icetime, Jiri Hudler could be just as good as any forward in the league and could possibly catch Gordie Howe for most points ever scored by a Wing. That's why we have about 4 threads going on him right now.
-
No love for Probert or Kocur? Or is this question referring to the 4 greatest Wings ever?
-
Rick Zombo. For some reason his last name always sounded totally cool to me. Also, Tie Domi.
-
My sources are telling me that Gary Bettman is the frontrunner right now to take over as their coach for next season. He will probably resume his duties as commissioner despite his position with the team. Stay tuned for more on this story later.
-
Good. I've hated that bastard since the Finals last year. I hope no one ever hires him again.
-
It's all Ozzie's fault that people on this board are being rude to each other. Look what he's done to us because of his s***ty play.
-
We need to sign Roman Cechmanek or Roman Turek before the playoffs. Come to think of it, maybe Ray Emery is willing to come back to the NHL. No way in hell Ozzie should start in the playoffs. His previous Cups aren't going to help his current lackluster confidence, or else it would have already happened earlier this season. Even his defenders can't justify this s*** anymore. He can't stop a stuffed toy right now from being shot into the net.
-
Os-suck cost us the whole game. Trade this bum before the trade deadline. I can't believe we're 0-3 against the last place, depleted Colorado divealanche. Embarassing.
-
Can this bum stop anything right now? This guy is pathetic this season. It's not going to be majestically fixed. He's lost his confidence as a goalie.
