What the league needs to do is to remove all the undeserving jokers that the fans voted into the game to make it more legitimate. Maybe it needs to give GMs veto power to override some fan votes, or something like that. Funny how Montreal fans always rip on certain players, and then vote them into the game anyway. Hypocritical bastards.

I've always hated May (Lou Siffer isn't here to defend him anymore ) and always will. The guy was a dirty s.o.b. throughout his career and would constantly jump players off the gun. I wish him the worst of luck in Toronto.

It's funny how they tried to justify those s***ty Montreal players making it in, by showing their stats from last year. That just makes people from Montreal look that much more stupid for voting their *** heroes in. Oh, and how does Souray make it in, but Lilja (who handed Souray his lunch) doesn't? Disgraceful move by the league if you ask me.

Actually, it kind of sucks that Z is finally healthy to play, but hasn't had a good enough season to be voted in.

I hate both these players, so they deserve each other. Ruutu is basically Finland's version of Ulf Samuelsson. Someone needs to sucker punch him and end his career. As for Peters, maybe a slight case of rabies will improve his energy as a fighter, since he's been a disappointment in the last few years.

He showed a lack of toughness both physically and mentally last year in the Finals. He was totally gassed by the end of the series. He's a great offensive player, but sucks on draws and lacks defensive ability. Those things will likely improve, but his pathetic performance last year in the Finals will continue to be questioned.

Looks like Saturday night's game was the real gold medal game, much like I thought back then. Hopefully Sweden will make this more competitive.

Hey, whether you like it or not, Laraque's statements are something that I've heard many skilled players state over and over again, and this fact is something that the majority of LGW believes either doesn't exist or doesn't apply to this team. Your post was the only B.S. in this thread so far.

It's obvious that McLean was afraid to hurt Crosby, because he didn't want the league to suspend him for 50 games for punching Gary Bettman's lover in the face. No reason something like that should turn into 5 pages of debate.

Sadly, many people do feel that way around here. I'm waiting for posters to give explanations as to why what Laraque said doesn't apply to our team, and how we're supposedly different than everyone else. I can feel those silly arguments coming as this thread goes on. Oh and if you must know, I've heard skilled players say those same things that Laraque has. Some of them actually play on this Wings team. What do you think of that?

I don't think guys like Dave Brown or Tie Domi ever heard of this supposed "code". Laraque is a guy I've grown to dislike over the years due to his fighting style and his lack of fights. Hard to call this wrestler an enforcer in my book.

Based on Red Wings standards this is an atrocious plus/minus for both Kronwall and Stuart. Draper has probably been an even bigger disappointment this year, but don't forget that he's a lot older and a lot less important to this team than Kronwall and Stuart are.

How come Montreal fans didn't vote Robert Lang into the ASG? That I would like to see.

Both guys have an atrocious plus/minus right now, so they definitely need to pick it up. At times they look lost out there when someone sneaks in around the net and neither guy picks him up. I guess Babcock can trying switching defensive pairs with the top 4, but I'm not sure if even that will help.

I'm not really an American, but I get your joke now. I just wanted the Canadians to lose because I'm tired of them always winning this tournament. It makes for better competition if they lose.
