This thread assumes we will have set lines throughout the season, which we probably won't. The easy answer is to say that any line Hossa is on will be the best, whether it be with Pavel or Hank.
-
Not bad, but he could take a few lessons from the "PAIN TRAIN". I hope he'll drop the gloves a few times in Detroit this year, to make opponents think twice before messing with us.
-
You're still as immature as hell, aren't you? Do you need me to change your underwear for you again, Dabura? Fact is we would demolish them in a game, but they're not any softer a team than we are. We're just a lot more talented and better at defense and goaltending.
-
They added Ryan Flinn, who is a pretty good scrapper. Overall, they have more guys who can drop the gloves than we have. Yeah, maybe a lot of those guys aren't great fighters, but it still disproves your argument that they need to sign more toughness and more fighters to mimic us. You can stop holding your breath now.

Hey, I was just responding to his post that Montreal should take example from us and get tougher if they want to win. Well, they have gotten tougher, so I was confused as to what he was alluding to.
-
Montreal added a couple of enforcers over the offseason, so you are a little outdated with your post. At this point, their team could beat our team in a brawl.
-
Well, it looks like Montreal will finally win their 25th Cup. They now have a guy who can score clutch goals in the playoffs, which they haven't had since Guy Lafleur left.

Quincey willing to fight for spot with Red Wings
GMRwings1983 replied to Shutemdown's topic in General
Well, he'll never be as great a fighter as Lilja, but it's still good to see that some other guys on this team are willing to scrap a little. Hopefully, his first fight will be with Patrick Sharp. That should be a nice confidence boost for his future fights. -
I don't know what will happen to me if Lilja goes. My existence could be endangered in all this.
-
This stupid organizations should be forced to wear their old Whalers jerseys. Who cares if the team name and location is different? Unless they can think of something cooler looking than those Whalers jerseys, they shouldn't be allowed to change.
-
Trading Lilja for an enforcer would be the equivalent of trading Datsyuk for a great set-up man, or trading Lidstrom for a #1 defenseman.

Quincey agrees to two-year deal 500k per season
GMRwings1983 replied to Greatness=PavelDatsyuk's topic in General
Without reading through the posts, I read just the topic and immediately assumed that Lilja's name has been mentioned a hundred times already in this thread as a guy who should be traded. Correct me if my assumption was wrong. I was just making a sarcastic post, because I'm tired of the Lilja bashing. -
Imagine how I feel about it. Lilja vs. Sharp, on primetime television. It doesn't get any better than this.
-
At this point the Blackhawks have a great fighting team, but no real enforcer. Even Boulerice won't be a top notch enforcer, but he's got a shot to make the team. He can't be any worse than Ben Eager.

Well, it looks like Lidstrom is getting closer and closer to being traded out of here. -
You mean game 6? That was the game we won anyway, so it doesn't really matter. However, that clip reminds me of the horrendous officiating throughout the series. I still can't believe the Pens were the ones whining about the refs.
-
Look at his shooting percentage, and then tell me whether he shoots horribly wrong or not. I don't see how anyone can argue that Sammy doesn't have a rotten shot, or for that matter, poor shot selection.
-
Which proves my theory that Kopecky sucks.
-
It's good to see that Kopecky can at least do something which is useful for a change. Maybe the Wings should make him into a full-time scout, instead of a 4th line jobber. BTW, what's the age difference between him and Hossa? I figured Hossa was at least 6 or 7 years older than Kopecky, which would have made him too old to be hanging out with Kopecky as kids.
-
Maybe Aurie used to steal Ilitch's lunch in school or something like that. With that said, even with his apparent dislike of Aurie, I don't think Ilitch would stoop so low as to allow Stuart to wear #6.
-
He's a big Canadian who fights, which is all that really matters.
-
Was Holmstrom really worse for the Red Wings than Larionov in his post-prime? I don't think so. Also, Probert should have been on the list.
-
He's not half as attractive, and can't perform as well in the clutch.
-
And they would take Kopecky's roster spot. We couldn't allow that to happen.
-
I love those jerseys too, but it looks like a big rip-off of the Lakers jerseys. I'd also want them to go back to wearing the crest symbol that they wore when Gretzky played there, with the black and white colors.
