Old Probert vs. Roenick, McCarty vs Wilkinson video
GMRwings1983 replied to T.Low's topic in General
I wish the WIngs would have never let Probie go. It'd be great seeing him hoist the Cup a few times. -
Rumor has it that Boumeester would be willing to sign for the league minimum in Detroit, just to appease the fantasies of the delusional posters on LGW.
-
Steve Moore, if that counts. His name was Stacy. That's all you need to know about him. That's a good point, because Flip did have a disappointing and inconsistent season. I guess his numbers weren't that bad in the playoffs, but I'd be looking for something more in a 2nd line center. As far as Bert goes, his injury troubles are not worth pursuing, not for any hefty price that is. If he's willing to sign for less, than maybe, but I still want someone younger and better like Ryan Malone.
-
Don't worry, he'd go a step further than McClennan went. Besides, it would just be for the regular season.
-
Maybe we could insert him late in games we know we're going to lose, just so he can start some s***.
-
I don't care about this one way or another. He doesn't give us anything we don't have, and I honestly didn't want him on this team anyways, since I never liked him. He's basically Kirk Maltby without Kirk Maltby's popularity as a Wing.
-
I'd take him back for a dollar. That's what we got Draper for, right?
-
I can see you have a lot of free time on your hands.
-
Tina is a punching bag who no one likes, except for the guys fighting against him. Why would we want him on our team?
-
Statistically, Sammy isn't any better than Tucker. Also, Sammy is in his 30's just like Tucker is, so age isn't an issue.
-
Think how many Wings players have received that same label over the years.
-
Because we'd send Kopecky the other way.
-
I've thought about Erskine, but Holland would never go for it considering how deep we are on defense. I'm still thinking that D.J. King would be a great option providing St. Louis wants to get rid of him. As far as Laraque goes, unless he all of a sudden becomes a mean S.O.B. who loves to fight, I would not go after him. As many have already pointed out, he's a boring wrestler more than a fighter. I don't see him being a fan favorite in Detroit with his style.

Lilja = Top Heavy

Sorry, it wasn't big enough for me to stare at for any long period of time. I just noticed the blonde hair, and went ga-ga from there.
-
How dare you guys discuss this topic without me? For years I've been saying Brian McGrattan, but I just read in this topic that he's off the market. Oh well. Does anyone know what Brashear's status is with Washington, or D.J. King's status with St. Louis?
-
I've heard this said before about their team, so I'm going to hold off on praising them until they actually accomplish something.
-
Well, if he's big and physical, than that's good enough for me. The last thing we need is another undersized defenseman. My hunch tells me he's the next Chris Pronger.
-
Ryder appears washed up, and Stillman is always hurt. We don't need a gimp on this team, no matter how many points he puts up when he's healthy.
-
To most people here on LGW, Burke is the owner of the Ducks.
-
Supposedly Kariya and Tkachuk wanted to win a Cup towards the end of their careers, and they wound up signing with St. Louis last year. I still think Sundin will go to a Cup contender, but you never know what he may do if someone throws some money in his face.
-
There's no comparison to Drake, since he's a way better player than Drake. However, I still wouldn't go this route. He's not what we need at this point, but Gary Roberts in his prime would be the kind of player I'd kill to have on the Red Wings. A guy who can score, fight, hit and lead by example.

Howard has been held back long enough. It's time for him to get his shot.
-
He already has, genius.
