You're only delaying the inevitable. ALthough by doing so, you're giving the Pens a better chance of beating the Wings in the finals, because Pittbsburgh will likely be more rested.

If that happens, then we have to watch horse racing. It looks like many of us might not get a chance to finish watching this game.

And so you're basically one of a million people from Dallas who knows anything about hockey. The fact is that it is not an area where people or sportswriters have much knowledge about the sport. That's not a generalization.

Sammy is pitiful, but isn't Stuart a better choice objectively? It just makes no sense to me for him not to be on the point. Usually, when other teams use forwards on the point, at least those forwards are capable of making plays. Sammy's existence on the point is meaningless. We're the most talented team in the league, and yet I'm convinced that no other NHL team would have Sammy on their point on the PP if he was on their team.

How come more Wings players don't have playoff beards? Chelios, Osgood, Cleary, Flip, Hudler, Rafalski, Lidstrom. Well, I guess several of those guys couldn't grow playoff beards if they tried. But still, I'd like to see more guys on the team going for it. I guess it's just a Canadian thing, and the European players don't really give a damn about that idea.

There are no clouds. I'm just reminding people that Pavel and Hank weren't the Wings choices either. It's not like we were secretly grooming them, while the rest of the league had never even heard of those guys. We might as well give other GM's credit for not drafting Kuznetsov. The fact is the Wings passed up on other guys before they got Pavel or Hank.

I remember in this team telling us all kinds of fairy tales when Yzerman was hurt numerous times in the playoffs in the past. At this point, I'm ready to accept the fact that he won't be back the rest of the playoffs. They're just better off keeping it secret.

That 2nd line has horrible chemistry right now. None of those guys seem to know what the other guys on their line are doing, or where each other is going to be on the ice. It was easy when Franzen was there, because Kronwall would just throw pucks in from the point, and he'd deflect them, but right now it's way different. Sammy doesn't even look like he's playing for either team. His baffling maneuvers out there are more idiotic each time I see them. Flip is too easy to knock off the puck, and Cleary can't finish any chance he gets. I'm wondering if he can even see the puck with that new helmet he's wearing. Right now, I'd move Hudler up and to take Sammy's place.

I've said this before, but the Wings get too much credit for being able to draft well. Don't forget that every team (including the Wings) passed up on guys like Datsyuk and Zetterberg, because even the Wings chose several players in those years' drafts over those 2 guys. The same thing with Lidstrom, because he wasn't the Wings first choice either. There have been a lot of guys the team drafted that turned out to be busts also, meaning that we could have gotten better players, who instead went to other teams. Drafting is just one of those hit or miss things.

I don't think Cleary should get any more slack. He's had enough time to get into the thick of things. He has only 1 goal in the playoffs so far, and that was a fluke goal no less. Yeah, he's playing hard, but with this injury to Franzen we need someone else to step up, and so far in this series, we've been a one line team.
