Does it matter what people wish? I doubt that anybody here has enough telepathic ability to make their wishes come true out there on the ice even though they're not playing in the game. I'll be the first to admit that I want to see guys like Pronger and Forsberg get hurt, and that I do wish injury on guys like that out and on several other scum in the NHL. My wishes aren't going to change anything, though, and it doesn't make me a horrible person either, since I've met too many of those in my life, and I don't qualify.

Well, I don't think I'd get as excited if Lehtinen or Zubov got laid out like that, but if it's Morrow, Ott or Madonna, then I'd definitely get a kick out of that.

Because his performance in the last few years would have resulted in him losing just about every fight this year if he hadn't improved, even against that same competition. Orr was a legitimate heavyweight before this year, and this year he solidified himself, while Downey came back from being a bum to being an enforcer again. That's what makes him more of a comeback fighter. Orr didn't really come back from anything, since he was never at the level that he was this year anyway. I guess there should be two categories then, one for comeback fighter, and one for most improved fighter. Also, I'm pretty sure most fans on hockeyfights hate the Wings, so I don't think Downey won because of any kind of bias. I also want to mention that Lilja should have gotten some consideration, since he went 3-0 this year, as opposed to his one beating last year of Patrick Sharp.

I hope Kronwall does that to Madonna in game 1 on Thursday. See what the Stars think of that.

Yeah but Montreal still had more fights than us. Downey did have a surprising year, though. It was surprising that he made this team, suprising that he got so many games in, and surprising that he didn't lose a fight. He was a punching bag the last few years before this season, so I expected him to lose more.

Wings in a sweep again. Dallas has gotten the monkey off their back with two playoff wins after they've sucked for so long in the playoffs. However, the Wings had one goal in mind before the season began, and that was to win the Cup. I seriously doubt the Dallas Stars had that goal before the season, since they couldn't even get out of the 1st round every year before that. The Wings are more motivated and are a better team. The only thing I'm worried about is their forechecking game, and our defense has to be quicker at getting the puck of the zone, since we've struggled with that in the past with forechecking teams.

I think the Penguins are a scary team. Just watch their powerplay and all the talent on it. They can score goals almost at will. Yeah, their defense isn't as good, but anytime a team is that hungry and that young and that skilled, they're a force to be reckoned with.

I also predicted a sweep, and I believe I posted about it here on LGW over and over again. It was all easy to predict, because they were coached by Joel Queeerville, and they don't match up well against us. Plus, we swept them in the regular season. I knew they'd be lucky to even win a game. We'll also sweep Dallas if we play them.
