After the game was over last night, I realized just how fortunate we are to have a coach like Quenneville in the Western Conference, so we can always coast through his teams in the regular season and playoffs. He's showed us again why he cannot succeed in the playoffs as a head coach, because he has absolutely no clue what he's doing. Theodore got pulled for the first 2 games, and Budaj came in and played solid. Any other coach would have started Budaj for game 3, but instead he starts Theodore, who looked bad again, by giving up a horrendous rebound on Datsyuk's 2nd goal and was unable to read two backdoor passes that led to goals. He also should have stopped the Franzen goal. Yeah, I know he got them past the Wild, but unless he's Marty Brodeur, he should not have had immunity from the coach for the way he played the first 2 games. Quenneville should be fired for his decisions in this series, but secretly I hope he stays so that we can play them again next year, and have another bye in the playoffs.

I've been thinking the same thing about how fortunate we are as compared to last year. One other thing to add is that not only have our top guys been healthy, but the other teams' top guys have been hurt. Also, the calls have gone our way so far in the playoffs, especially early in the Nashville series.

Hudler should take Sammy's spot on the 2nd line. He and Flip have good chemistry together. You make it sound like he made a pass somewhat like Zubov's pass to Modano in game 2 against the Sharks. Sammy's assists occurred because he just happens to be on the ice when Franzen is playing out of his mind, and his stick touched the puck before Franzen got it. His shooting, on the other hand, has gotten to the point where he can't even hit the goalie's crest anymore. All his shots are being blocked by defensemen, or they go wide.

It was especially hilarious how those idiot fans went into a frenzy each time he got the puck, as if he was going to take over the game like no one has done since Bobby Orr. Instead, his only contribution to the game were those stupid penalties that he picked up. I guess in the end he did make a difference after all. For the other team, that is.

Him and Homer have combined for 2 goals so far in the playoffs. I was worried they'd struggle coming back from injuries, especially since Homer hasn't looked the same since he first got injured midway through the season. The way Franzen is playing right now, nobody seems to notice, but to keep winning in the playoffs, Cleary and Homer have got to start scoring. We need those guys.

Pittburgh has been the most impressive, because of how easily the Rangers dominated the Devils, and because many people picked New York to come out of the East. The Sharks struggled against Calgary, and I expected us to sweep the divealanche, so those 2 aren't really surprises at this point. When Dallas beat Anaheim, that was a bigger shocker than what they're doing now. We should be worried about the Penguins, especially if they come out of the East playing a minimal amount of games, because that will make them more rested, and they're already a very young team.

Peter Forsberg is a piece of trash who will hopefully have his career ended with a cheap shot one day, since he seems to be unable to make up his own mind to retire himself. Enjoy spending the summer on your father's rink in Sweden douchebag!

The guy that looked pathetic last night was Stuart. He got outmuscled for pucks, and looked lost in his own zone at times. If anyone should be replaced it's him and not Chelli. I don't know what you guys expect from Chelios when you say that he's been less than stellar. He doesn't play many minutes, and you know he isn't going to score, so I'm confused as to what people think he should be doing differently?

Actually, I was one of those people talking about the strength of their forwards, but I still posted before the series began that our defense and system is way better than theirs, which would result in a sweep for the Wings. Also, I like the fact that Quenneville is on the other end of that bench. It gives me a serene peace of mind knowing that he's our *****. And yeah, I would be shocked if they tied the series up against us. We should have learned from our mistakes in the past to prevent that from happening. Hell, if Franzen didn't score in OT against Nashville, the Wings might be fishing right now. They can't put themselves into a similar situation again.
