Amazing how good someone can look when they're playing against the Wild.
-
Maybe him and Hasek can fight each other in the locker room during the game.
-
If they're going to run Lidstrom, we need to run Sakic right now right into the boards. Send the divealanche and their fans a message that we can play dirty too with star players. You know they're going to try more s*** in the 3rd period.
-
Maybe Sammy will shoot one right at his groin.
-
We've owned that team in the past, and we'll own them again. They don't have the type of team we usually struggle against, just like the divealanche. I'd be more worried about San Jose, because we were fortunate to get past them last year thanks to that game 4 finish. Dallas is overachieving a little right now, but I still don't like their chances against the Wings, especially with a depleted defense. Just like us last year, an injured team can only go so far before the injuries catch up with them. Actually, I still expect San Jose to win that series so we're all getting ahead of ourselves.
-
I'm not afraid about Dallas at all. I hope they advance so we cab beat them in 4 games.

Incase you needed yet another reason to hate Bettass

There's show-off loudmoths like Avery all over the NBA and NFL, yet in the NHL they try not to market players like him, while in other leagues they become front-page material. -
I wish each time Pittsburgh scored, they wouldn't show those annoying idiots standing outside the arena. What's the point of showing them? I mean, we get it, they're probably celebrating when Pittsburgh scores, it's not like we need to be reminded of it over and over again. This isn't like Eva Longoria being shown at each Spurs game constantly. It's just some stupid fans standing on the lawn who couldn't scalp enough tickets to get indoors.

Floppa has been day-to-day for the last 8 seasons or so. I'm just glad I don't have to see that idiot diving around out there like the little punk that he is. Besides, they got what they deserved, since he pulled a Niedermayer this year and wasn't even a real member of the team until March. They deserve to have him injured for that.

I don't think anyone, including the voters know what they're looking for in this award. Whether it's plus/minus, or shorthanded goals, or whether a candidate is a star or a checking forward. It's a very hard award to judge, unless you focus on that player alone each time he's on the ice, even if he doesn't have the puck. Only coaches watch the game that way, or you have to be in person to watch it, since you can't look for that on TV. Also, speaking of shortanded goals, I don't believe either Pavel or Hank had very many, and I'm not sure how many Madden had, but that could factor into the voters minds.

I predicted a sweep when this series began, and I actually think the other games will be easier than the one we squeaked out last night. Plus, we always win in the Pepsi Center, so I'm not worried about their crowd, unlike if we had to play Calgary.
-
Sammy hasn't been scoring any goals either. Also, he turns the puck over constantly, and one of these times no one will bail him out. As I said, it only has to happen once to cost us a game. Besides, turnovers in the offensive zone are also costly, because they take away future scoring chances for that shift. His problem seems to be that he thinks he's a better puckhandler than what he really is. Imagine if Downey went out there and tried to stickhandle around the defense. Chances are he'd look the same way Sammy looks.
-
Here's a shocker for you. I actually wouldn't play Downey! I figured we'd run into Calgary or Anaheim, but this Colorado team, unless they dress Scott Parker, isn't that intimidating physically. I don't know where Downey would fit in, since everyone is playing well. Flip is actually struggling a bit, but scratching him for Downey would probably be going too far. Helm is playing well, and as I've already said, Malts should be in the lineup. That would leave Sammy and Downey out. If you're still confused, basically, I want Hudler on the 2nd line, and Malts to replace Sammy. Everything else shouldn't be changed while we're winning.

Dude, what are you talking about? Half the guys you just mentioned aren't even close to being as good as Stevie. Unless when I type the word Yzerman, the word Yashin appears on your computer. Here's my top 10, since you're so interested. 1. Gretzky 2. Orr 3. Lemieux 4. Howe 5. Richard 6. Hull (Bobby) 7. Messier 8. Yzerman 9. Esposito 10. Lafleur

You asked this in another thread, and I already answered. Basically, Malts is a gritty player who battles for pucks and is good defensively. I don't think a team can have too much of players like him in a playoff series. Also, I'll admit that I'm partial to him because he's been a Wing since I was in middle school. That does have weight in my mind for why I want him over Sammy. Also, Sammy has huge potential to pull a turnover that costs us a game, while Malts doesn't have as good a chance at that. It only has to happen once.
-
Hudler has to take Sammy's spot on the 2nd line, and Sammy should be scratched for Maltby.
-
That's not the point. He's gritty, he battles for pucks, and is good defensively. I don't think a team can have too much of players like that.
-
I've never heard of anyone having to face anywhere close to that amount of shots.
-
I guess I can draw attention, but can't force anyone to love me.
-
Depends on if Scott Parker plays or not.
-
Where have you been man? While you were gone, I somehow became the most looked up male on LGW?
-
Maybe Patrick Roy can step in for them. I mean if that douchebag Forsberg can come back from retirement in the middle of March, then why can't Roy do it now?
-
Why doesn't Hudler get 2nd line minutes instead of Sammy. He's playing way better right now, and would make that 2nd line even more dangerous. Plus, him and Flip had some chemistry earlier this season.
-
I'd actually make a goalie change, but I don't think they will, mostly because of how well Theodore finished the season, although I for one still think that he's overrated and always was, even in Montreal. He looked sloppy tonight, while Budaj looked fantastic.
-
We need to do a better job of keeping leads. That's not a good sign for the future to let the other team dominate you like that the entire 3rd period. Also, Datsyuk looked amazing again tonight, and continues to be our best player in these playoffs.
