Just Win Baby!

Why can't Lilja be the captain. He's the best looking player on the team, he blocks shots (when's the last time Lidstrom blocked a shot), and he does all his talking with his fists, just like a man should. To me, that exemplifies leadership qualities.

He should be fired if we lose this series. That would give us a first round loss every other year since 2000. Yeah, I know we always make the playoffs, but what's the point if you're only going to be that much more disappointed being ousted in the first round. This team has no hunger to win the Cup. You don't need hunger to win regular season games when skill can carry you out there every night. But winning a 7 game series takes something extra, and this team right now doesn't have that something extra. He put this team together, and I'm tired of him taking credit for Scotty Bowman's Stanley Cups and Mike Ilitch's money. Holland is a good GM, but far from the god he's made out to be here on LGW, and I don't see why he should have immunity.

I think Holland and Babcock have instructed him not to fight. It's against "team toughness". Our idea of winning a fight is having our player get beat up, and then point at the scoreboard. Of course, now we can't even do that, since we're losng on the scoreboard. We need Downey out there, and scratch that hack Hartigan. Why is he even playing? He wasn't even a regular this season, while Downey was a regular player on the team.

That fight with Ott is in my recent Red Wings fight tape compilation. That and the fight where Lilja fell on top of Chris Neil.

What really stings is that when Nashville needed a goal late in game 3, they got 2 goals less than 10 seconds apart. When we needed a goal at the end of this game, our players looked like scared chickens out there unwilling to dump the puck in and chase it. This team just looks disgusting and pathetic out there.

Except Cross actually had a fight here. Are we sure that Stuart is Canadian? He looks more like Swiss cheese out there? No physicality whatsoever.

Here's another joke. Him and Kronwall have about as much chemistry and Ben and J-Lo in Gigli. This pairing needs to be broken up immediately.

I can't believe some of us, myself included, were concerned with Stuart wanting to live in California after this season. I say good riddance. This guy is about as useful as having a pair of brass knuckles when you're being attacked by a polar bear. He sucks.

I don't think Babcock is that stupid. He knows what the situation is. By the way, why is this such a big deal? These 2 goalies have been rotating all season, and Ozzie was in the all-star game. People are making it sound like Nabokov is having to be replaced by their no-name goalie.

Speaking of whipping boys, I hope Lilja will be back now, because Lebda looked useless out there. His speed was good for nothing.

Amazing how none of us sleep after the Wings lose.

We have to get past this round first, dude. What, you think if we get to round 3 it'll be easier? We can't even beat a bunch of untalented hacks like Nashville. Their only offensive strategy involves taking wristshots from the point hoping to get deflections. Their talent level is inferior to other teams in the West.

In hockey things don't usually carry over from game to game. In 2006 we beat Edmonton in game 4 when it looked like we won the series, and then we laid in egg in game 5 at home. Besides, we played better in the 3rd, that doesn't mean we played well. The last 6 or 7 minutes we didn't have any good chances and turned the puck over at the opposing team's blue line. That's hardly a glaring positive like everyone is making it sound. The Wings are going to have to make their own positives. There's none to be gotten from this game.

We need Franzen, Flip and Cleary to wake up. Those guys have been nonexistent this series. Franzen's hot finish towards the end of the season seems like it was ages ago.

Hasek is playing worse in this series than Legace did in 2006. Now that's scary, but it's true.

Our team are the Atlanta Braves. We're the biggest playoff chokers in sports, so I don't see what the surprise is. Even if we win this series, I'm having a hard time visualizing us beating the better teams out there in the league. Nashville is not the cream of the crop.

I'm not so sure. Each year we lose in the playoffs, we choke away at home in game 5.

I can't believe this team was so stupid to do the same thing they did last year, when they let Calgary hang around. Yeah we won that series, but this is also how we've lost series' in the past.

We've choked it away in 6 too many times in the past, and this could be one of them. No passion, no heart, and not surprisingly, no win tonight.

I'm furious at Zetterberg right now. This isn't pond hockey, he needs to dump the damn puck into the zone and stop showing off. How many times did he try to take 3 guys at once, and come out on the losing end? Babcock needs to chew his ass out for that.

Where has Franzen been since game 1?

This is probably what we would have played like the entre 2nd period if Hasek didn't give up that 3rd goal. This team was just waiting for momentum.
