We need to start burying our chances. Especially Flip. He's played great, but he's got to finish those plays if he wants to make a difference. Also, Hasek needs to settle down and stop acting like he's on meth. I know he likes to do wild things, but some level of control must be necessary. I don't like seeing him play the puck so often, since it already cost us a goal.

If he doesn't give up another goal the rest of the game, I promise I'll apologize.

Hasek is an idiot. He takes a dive, makes a lazy play knowing the boards are lively, and then gives up a soft goal. What's he going to do next?

Hartigan is that expendable player. Him or Hudler.

If there's any goalie who knows something about playoff hockey, it's Legace. NOT! Why is that idiot in the studio? He comes off sounding like some middle-school prankster who just got his first pubes.

Mac and Downey need to take a backseat and let the "PAIN TRAIN" do his thing. He'll give Tootoo a beating the likes of which the JLA hasn't seen in a long time.

I don't live in Detroit, so if they stopped airing Wings games, I'd be royally screwed.

Legwand is a pretty good player, as is Sullivan, who's been injured all year. Nashville has shown a lot to make the playoffs with all they've gone through, but their 2 fans and the team have been so sick of losing in the playoffs, that we can only expect them to make more excuses.

So is there any word on whether the Preds are going to unleash their secret weapon Josh Langfeld against us?

You guys are doing wishful thinking if you believe that Dallas has arleady won this series. The Dallas Stars are the NHL's perennial playoff chokers. I'd love to see them win, but my money is still on the Ducks. One game doesn't make a series.

The only lineup change I'd make is getting rid of that Zetterberg guy. He was plain awful last night. It's time to demote him so that Sammy can get some time on the 1st line.

Because Downey hasn't lost a fight this season. All his fights have been wins or draws. As for McCarty, we all love him, but he's not a great enforcer at this point in his career.

The D played well, but they need to get the puck out of the zone quicker, especially since teams are told to forecheck our D because they're relatively non-physical.

Then how come other teams dress enforcers. Is everyone else so stupid, yet we're so smart that we're dressing Hartigan instead of Downey. That might be the most uniformed post ever on LGW. How many games have you watched this year?

Believe it or not, I thought Sammy looked shy out there when it came to shooting the puck. That line is undersized, though, so I see them potentially being pushed around out there.

We should just forfeit the game. Then we would just beat Trashville in 5 games, and not give them anything to ***** about.

He played pretty good in his own zone, so I hope he can keep it up. I don't expect much from him offensively though. I'd love to see him take Tootoo out with a Drake-like dirty check from behind.

Great win, and here's my take on the game. 1. Pavel and Hank dominated tonight. Good to see they don't have any playoff jitters. 2. Homer looks off, and has looked that way since the halfway point in the season when he first got injured. I hope Babcock still keeps Franzen on the 2nd line for balance, but Homer isn't doing much out there. 3. Downey has to play instead of Hartigan. Tootoo ran everybody except for the referee, and no one did jack about it, including McCarty. Someone needs to kick Tootoo's ass. 4. Hasek looked solid. He still tries to give fans a heart attack with his style, but when it works no one minds. 5. We have to come out with more passion in game 2, because I can guarantee you that the Preds will come out with passion in games 3 and 4 in their barn. 6. Is it just me, or was Sammy actually afraid to shoot at times? I wonder if he's been reading this forum?

The reason people are so nervous is because we've seen this pattern over and over again in the 1st round in so many years. Yeah, we dominated the first two games last year, but the seasons before that it was nightmares every night of hot goalies and fluke goals. Even last year it took 6 games to beat Calgary. It would be nice to dominate the 1st round just once.
