Sorry, I guess I'm a little bit of both. Oh well, I'll just save that post for whoever puts Stevie ahead of Howe, since I know someone will.
-
I love Stevie Y, but there's no way he's above Gordie Howe. Yes, I know he was better defensively and all that, but back then being a complete player didn't mean as much. Hell, Fedorov was a more complete player than Gordie Howe, but that doesn't mean he should be ahead of him too. Otherwise, your list looks pretty much what mine would look like if I wasn't too lazy to make one.
-
Since you won't be reading this, I have to tell you that Guy Lafleur and Rocket Richard were both overrated. Also, Jean Beliveau was not, I repeat, was NOT a great leader.
-
Sadly, he might be too good for that list.
-
I don't think Holland is aware that league policy allows you to have more than one enforcer in the lineup. He's kind of slow on this, so he'll come around eventually.
-
1. Andreas Lilja 2. Maxim Kuznetsov 3. Yan Golubovsky 4. Cory Cross 5. Uwe Krupp 6. Dmitry Bykov 7. Jesse Wallin 8. Anders Eriksson 9. Brett Lebda 10. Brad Norton That just shows you that size isn't everything. The top 5 in my list were pretty much the largest Wings in recent memory, yet with the exception of PAIN TRAIN, they were complete panzies.
-
That's surprising, because they always get good attendance and I've always thought they had a big fan base. Then again, it's New Jersey, and I've heard millions of rumors about that state, so I don't know truth from fiction.
-
But that doesn't mean they have to show those teams playing against each other. How about Flyers vs. Senators, or Rangers vs. some team out on the West coast, or Penguins vs. Sharks. Yet it's always those 3 teams playing against each other. Hell, what about the Devils? They play in that same division and never get any airtime, with some pretty good players on their team, and a great record. It's just plain idiotic.
-
That was hilarious when he said the Wings have beaten up on the Central this year? Also, if Gonchar wins the Norris, I'm going to throw a temper-tantrum. It should be Lidstrom unanimously.
-
In that case we should tank. I don't want to stay up late at nights watching us playing against Luongo in triple overtime standing on his head.
-
Babcock is making some idiotic decisions these last 2 games with the players he's dressing. I don't see why Mac can't be allowed to finish the regular season to try to get his legs back. Is there some NHL rule against dressing 2 tough guys in one game, or is this just a Red Wings "team toughness" crap policy?
-
She's a call girl not a hooker.
-
So what was PAIN TRAIN like in person?
-
I suppose so. That overtime goal did deflect off the ice before it went in.
-
Hasn't he been stuck at basically the same amount of points for a while now?
-
Someone should send her those pictures we had of Phaneuf at the strip club several weeks ago on LGW.
-
He's been horrible for more than just last night. With more minutes, comes more defensive responsibility, which he isn't handling ver well.
-
I'm not trying to insult anyone, but what is the fascination with Hudler? If it's his scoring, he hasn't done that in months. If it's anything else, then I can't possibly imagine what it could be, thus fill me in.
-
Damn! Lilja beats his ass, yet he's the one who gets the famous chick. What the hell is wrong with women nowadays?
-
His offensive play led to nothing, while his defensive play led to 2 goals. That doesn't seem like a fair balance to me.
-
They're not hookers, they're call girls. Am I the only person who understands the distinction between the two?
-
Hudler was directly responsible for 2 of the goals, yet some of you are congratulating him for his offensive play. He's not only doing nothing on the scoresheet, but now he's imroving the other team's scoresheet. He has to be a health scratch throughout the playoffs, because he's become a liability out there on the ice. Yeah, he can make some fancy plays with the puck here and there, but that doesn't make up for glaring defensive mistakes.
-
It's amazing how the Ozzie supporters keep increasing the amount of goals that were deflected. Now it appears that 3 of the goals were deflected. I suppose that Langenbrunner's goal in the 1998 playoffs was deflected also? He played a bad game and got outplayed by Legace. Why does everyone have to make excuses from that?
-
Yeah, but you're forgetting that they gained Schneider and Bertuzzi, and Bert is certainly a threat playing with Perry and Getzlaf, much like Penner did last year. Also, both Perry and Getzlaf are greatly improved from last year. I guess they also gained Doug Weight, but he's been hurt a lot. However, when healthy, he's still a great passer, making their PP even more dangerous. I want them to lose in the 1st round also, but I think a lot of Wings fans are engaging in wishful thinking that the Ducks will fold their tent so easily. I don't see it happening.
