It's great to see Ray actually fighting someone without taking his own jersey off.

I knew he could do it. I've been saying all year that he was worthy of 1st line status. Now wait and see till Hudler and Kopecky start playing well, and then I'll really prove you guys were all wrong.

What about Minnesota? We always play well against them, and they're not in the Pacific time zone, so I wouldn't have to stay up till the sun rises to watch overtime games finish. It would be an ideal matchup, which I don't see lasting any longer than 5 games.

If we play Phoenix, I have a feeling this will be the year the Wings finally have an easy time getting out of the 1st round.

Reading your earlier post, it suggests that it probably has different meaning in Canada, but I seriosly doubt it. I can't believe how some people try to defend Don Cherry's comments saying that he isn't a bigot and a racist. He doesn't even sugarcoat around it for crying out loud. What more could he do to prove it?

I'd love to see Lilja or Kopecky prey on Patrick Sharp again. Also, maybe Lang can fight Samuelsson in the LGW "Battle of the lazy asses"

You're right, I don't. It's funny how whenever anyone said anything critical about the Wings Stanley Cup chances several weeks ago, you and several other posters told them to go root for another team, and that they weren't real fans who probably don't really support their team. Apparently you and several other posters can read people's thoughts better than I can.

If the Wings ever dressed a lineup like that, people here would whine constantly about how Hudler and Kopecky and Sammy are having their precious spots on the team taken away by players who don't contribute offensively, as if those other guys can contribute offensively. Just shows you how far the Wings philosophy is from other teams. Also, I'm sure Anaheim has dressed just as tough a top 5 many times this year.

Half of those hits were on Patrick Sharp's face in the only time Kopecky showed any remote possibility of being physical this season. That shows you how deceptive stats can be sometimes, because I don't think of him as a physical force, and I don't think any other team does either.

Hudler stopped scoring with those decent linemates, which is why he was eventually demoted to the 4th line. It's not like he woke up one day to find out that for no reason he was on the 4th line. As for Kopecky, I haven't watched every game recently, but from what I have watched, I have no idea what you're referring to as far as "his recent play" is concerned. We must all remember, though, that we have no clue what Mac will look like or what he can contribute to this team besides grit and popularity. I think there' s a chance that he'll crack the lineup if we play Calgary or Anaheim again, since those teams always try to act tough with us.

Hopefully he comes back on his game. He looked awful out there even before the injury, doing nothing on the stat sheet.
