I can't wait to see him, Lilja, and Downey in the lineup. That's the toughest Wings roster in years, except I have a gut feeling that we'll never dress McCarty and Downey in the same game, unless there's injuries.

The problem with this roster right now is that there's no one to demote. Our 2nd liners should really be 3rd liners on any other top team, so it's hard to scratch anybody, but I still think that if anyone hasn't been cutting it lately, it has to be Hudler. I don't know why you like him so much, but I guess due to your expertise with stats, you could find a stat that makes any player seem great or useful.

That's your preference. I just happen to hate certain players on your favorite team, and I'm sure that some of your fellow fans hate certain Wings players beyond belief also. I'm not the only Wings fan who hates Floppa or Foote or Slappy, so if you're surprised that I feel this way about them, then you haven't been around for a long time.

The hit on Lidstrom was dirty. Anytime you get your elbows up like that, you've got to know that there's possibility of the other guy being hurt. Whether he intended it or not doesn't matter. Only a fool gets his elbows up like that, and then after the game says, I didn't try to hurt him. What did Lappy expect was going to happen? I hope we play them again, so that someone breaks his freaking neck. I can't stand even hearing his name. He's public enemy number one right now for me, even ahead of Pronger.

Too bad it didn't happen to Floppa or to Lappy. The Kings never play on TV, so I haven't had too many chances to see Johnson play, but I've heard good things.

I wouldn't mind seeing Hudler or Lebda take some roids. It might actually help their performance. Personally, I think steroids help athletes in any sport, even though there's obvious side effects, thus it is an issue that should be addressed seriously. To say that it doesn't help in hockey is being a little naive.

Kopecky is the guy I'm calling out every game. He destroyed someone in his only NHL fight, yet he seems to have developed some kind of guilty conscience since then. They should just send him to LNAH to develop some kind of mean streak. Him and Hudler. On second thought, sending Hudler there wouldn't be such a good idea.

He pounded Slappy to the ice and made him turtle. What else did you want to see him do? Punch someone's head off like Popeye in the cartoons? That was a win hands down in my book.

Actually I can't remember Drake ever having as much fights as he's had this season, and he hasn't fought for a long time now. Here, he was the only guy in the lineup fighting early on in the season, but with Downey dressed, he's refrained from doing it anymore.

I thought Ovechkin would hit 60 this year, but he's been ice cold lately. Crosby is the best player, and he'll only get better defensively and as a goal scorer. People just hate him so much for being the league's poster boy that they're skewing his actually playing ability to be worse than what it is.
