None of those guys should be playing in the top 6. Since Holland didn't go after any forwards at the deadline, that's just the way it's going to have to be. This shouldn't come as a newsflash, but other than Cleary we have no 2nd line players who can score on a consistent basis. Also, Mac will probably play on the 3rd line with Draper and Maltby, and not on the 2nd line.

The fact that Downey has played at all is a miracle considering how pussified this team has been in recent memory. As for Hudler, he shouldn't be in the regular lineup period. He's fallen off the face of the earth, and I'd rather see both Downey and McCarty in the lineup rather than him.

The sad thing is, that if I said a rented mule should replace Lebda, your rssponse should still be the same.
-
Luongo is one hell of a problem, and our team can't put the puck in the net either. Besides, they didn't seem to have trouble the last time the Wings played them of putting the puck in the net.
-
Definitely without Pronger, as we painstakenly found out last year. I understand that the injuries are downright ridiculous right now, but there are a lot of players who were counted on before the season that are playing poorly, many of which should have been dealt at the deadline. I'm not even going to mention who they are, because everyone knows who I'm talking about. If those guys are only going to play well when Lidstrom and Rafalski are back there carrying them, then that doesn't reflect well on those players.

Stuart is not a fighter. He'd just get in Lilja's way if he started to drop the gloves. Ericsson should replace Lebda and be the other fighter in that top 5 you put together.
-
I hope not, because there are too many players, goalies included, who are showing me that they can't play through any adversity whatsoever.
-
But your avatar keeps reminding me that only one thing really matters in this world.
-
I don't think it matters. The last time this team won the Cup was when they won the President's Trophy, and yet the last time they didn't finish first in the West, they were swept in humiliating fashion in the 1st round of the playoffs.

I know. What knucklehead could have posted something like that. You and I need to spam him right now. Just kidding.
-
I haven't watched the last several games, but I've noticed that Homer has been MIA on the scoresheet, which is in stark contrast to him earlier this season before the injuries. I was just wondering if anyone can tell me how he's been playing?
-
I honestly forgot what it feels like to win a game. It feels like any team in the league is better than this Wings lineup. How long before Lidstrom comes back, by the way?
-
Hudler should be the one losing all of his icetime. He and that beanbag Kopecky are doing nothing to prove their spot on this team. Actually, who the hell is?
-
He should definitely resign. He's the reason for the Wings losing streak right now. I hope he can go become MLB's commissioner or some other sport I hate instead of hockey.
-
Our so-called great goalies are overrated. They played great early in the season when the sun was shining, but lately they can't even steal one stinking game from the other team. Just two or three wins during this losing stretch would at least make things look a little decent. I know everyone is going to blame it on injuries, but I got the impression early in the season from reading everyone's posts that we had Jacques Plante and Terry Sawchuk in net for us instead of Hasek and Osgood, so don't make any excuses.
-
I feel like they hate the Wings due to the fact most of the team is European and non-Canadian. Hell, look at their leading analyst Don Cherry if you don't believe me. He doesn't pull any punches about it either.
-
Will this team ever win another game? Two more weeks of this and we'll be battling for a playoff spot. Someone needs to step it up and do something instead of waiting for the injured players to return.
-
He's definitely going to infect the young guys on that team who have yet to learn how to dive properly. And who can forget that s***bag Lappy. I still want revenge with the possibility of us playing them again.
-
I'd hate for us to play the Canucks in the 1st round. Once again I'd have to stay up till 3 in the morning during finals week watching playoff games, and listening to those racist, biased CBC announcers. Likewise, they have the best goalie in hockey, and we've seen the Wings get beat by lesser goalies in the past. I'd love for us to play either the divealanche or Phoenix because we own both those teams. Hell, I wouldn't mind playing Dallas in the 1st round due to our dominance over them, even though I know that's probably not feasible at this point.

Where did you get the idea that they only wrestle once a month? It's once a week on TV plus the road tours that are non-televised. Yeah, they don't wrestle as often as they used to as recently as 10 years ago, but their overall schedule is still a lot longer than the NHL's, with no break in between. I guarantee you hockey players have it a lot easier, and hockey players don't die very often, thankfully.
-
Wrestlers wrestle every week and travel 12 months a year unlike hockey players. Yes the moves are scripted, but they get injured a lot more often than hockey players do. Added to that are pain killers, steroids, and freak injuries which is why these guys die so often and so young. Also, what they do is just not natural in its own right. Being hit by 300 pound men or getting hit with steel chairs or falling on ladders is just downright crazy. Say what you want about their profession, but as a hockey fan and a wrestling fan, I've got to say that wrestlers are tougher from what I've observed.
-
Pro wrestlers are the toughest guys around. After that I'd pick hockey players.
-
I've been to Denver before, and besides, I'm not from Michigan so hate on Detroit all you like, as long as it's not the Wings.
-
I'm pretty sure no one here is not cheering for the Wings. There are many pessimists, but that doesn't mean they're not cheering. You're still getting those two things confused.
-
Oh he will, but I'm afraid it'll only come after an early playoff exit. I was hoping he'd do something about our forwards at the deadline, but he chose to stick it out with Hudler, Sammy, Franzen, and Flip, none of which are consistent 2nd line scorers. I'm just laughing at the timing of this thread.
