I don't care if it is. Some people just hate a city for their own personal reasons. Many people from Boston hate New York, and many people from Chicago hate Detroit. I just happen to hate Denver and several of their sports teams, and that's the way I want to keep it. But this isn't the first time I've read an idiotic article written by a Denver sportswriter, so that's why I posted what I did.

Is this thread some kind of a joke? We just got done with the deadline where we realized that all our wishful thinking was for nothing since Holland didn't do s*** to improve our scoring. I'm not even going to fantasize anymore about players that we might have our should have, since it'll probably never happen.

No. They always choke in the 1st round of the playoffs no matter how well they play upon entering the playoffs. Reminds me of a certain team I know.

Especially if he doesn't re-sign, but I wonder if he'll be tempted to re-sign just becacuse he'll feel guilty. I don't know much about his character, but that would be the right thing to do consdiering what they gave up for him.

He's better than Hudler or Sammy, and would have been much more productive on the 2nd line than either of those guys, even if he was a healthy scratch. None of us will be NHL players either. Should we just refrain from ever criticizing anyone associated with management or personnel because of that?

What the article says is partly true, but I don't understand what the point is. Are we supposed to wait a specific amount of years without winning the Stanley Cup before we can start whining again? Part of being a fan is having expectations. When your team is 1st every year in the regular season, the expectations start getting high. It's all just natural progression. This guy makes it sound like fans should wait for the team to suck again before they can start complaining.

Not really. Look what Fedorov or Foote went for. Crap. Are you telling me we couldn't have made trades like that with other teams to get a decent 2nd liner? Going into the playoffs with either Hudler, Sammy, and Franzen being 2nd liners is very risky.

He's one of those guys that deserves to get suckerpunched when he's not looking, because that's the kind of thing that he'd do to players. That's honestly the only way an idiot like this will ever learn from his cheap play. I'd rather see someone end his career before he ends someone elses.

You've lost your mind and you don't know anything about me. I watch every game and root my ass off every night I watch. I don't see where I stated that I don't hope for the best and that I don't support the team. You and the other homers here are acting like watchdogs accussing fans of not rooting for the Wings just because we're unhappy at what went down at the deadline.

That article proves how stupid the divealanche media and fans are. They've been over-inflating their importance for years, and the sad thing is that they actually believe that nonsense. Whoever wrote that article should go cover baseball games or something, because he doesn't know jack about hockey.

The whole point of a forum is to share your opinions, and if that involves complaining, then so be it. This isn't some religious forum where you can criticize posters who come in and question the existence of God, although I'm beginning to think that's what some of you think Holland is. If the whole forum was filled with blind homers, there would be no point coming on here.

Yes! Fans go to games just for fights, and you're guaranteed to get several fights a game on any given night. There's also brawls that break out from time to time. It looks like something out of Slapshot.

LNAH is the league to watch if you like fighting. The toughest league in the world bar none. Maybe that's where Lilja should go to get some real competition instead of beating up on guys like Chris Neil.

You guys are making the same argument I made here yesterday and got blasted for it by other posters, about how we talked all month about never having to see Hudler or Sammy again, and yet here they still are. Like Chucky the killer doll, we can't get rid of these guys.

Is this the same Holland who is treated like a GOD here? I don't think his job would be jeopardized more than Babcock's.
