Lilja and Eriksson should play together and be billed as the Swedish "Towers of Power". Maybe Lilja can take this kid under his wing and teach him how to be physical and fight for his teammates.

This has probably been posted somewhere, but I was just wondering if there's any word on the defensive pairings for tonight? I'd love to see Lilja play with this Ericsson kid, but I'm not sure Babcock will play it like that. I'm also guessing that Chelly is the number 1 defenseman, but I doubt they'll pair him with Lebda like they usually do.

Whoever our goalie is has to stand on his head for us to beat the Ducks. Last year Giggy outplayed Hasek in the clutch, and we lost the series. The other obvious answers to the Wings winning the Cup is health and secondary scoring. I think that if Holland sits on his ass and doesn't make any significant moves (i.e. not Cory Cross) this team can't make a run for it.

You outdid me with that name. I forgot all about that stiff. Godard is definitely a heavyweight, though he's been a disappointment this year. Providing Godard wants any of Lilja, I see PAIN TRAIN obliging him. Hey after the way Lilja destroyed Phaneuf, Godard will most likely be seeking revenge.

His fights are pathetic. Lilja wins fights without even having to throw punches, while this guy just grabs and holds on for dear life.

Why doesn't Anaheim just trade for the Stanley Cup? Literally. That's not against the rules is it?

God, Kp! What does Lilja have to do, ******* murder someone in a fight before you start respecting his fighting prowess? It's not his fault that no one has wanted to fight him ever since he fell on top of Chris Neil. Another reason for him not fighting in a while is that the last few teams we played scratched their top enforcers for small fish like Ott, Lapperierre, etc. He didn't want to spotpick against lesser fighters, that's all.

Because wherever he goes, if he doesn't win the Cup, he'll know that going back to Toronto means he'll never win one period. I don't think this rental player bulls*** is going to happen every year with Sundin, because teams will eventually see that it's too big a risk trading away young players for a guy who won't be back with their team next year. Leaving Toronto permanently is his only good chance to win the Cup.

Tangay is a much better player than Ryder, and much more of a set-up man for Iginla. This trade would make no sense at all for Calgary, unless they're looking to make a bigger deal later on.

I think Sundin makes more sense than Hossa, because re-signing Hossa and Zetterberg will be a pain in the ass. Also, since teams know that Sundin won't re-sign with them, I think that will give the Leafs less leverage on how much they can get for him. Another thing to consider is that last year everyone thought that Ryan Smyth would re-sign with the Oilers after they traded him away, but of course that's not how it turned out, so you never know. Maybe Sundin wont come back to the Leafs.

Does the Darryl Sittler one count as a commercial?

Turco played well in the playoffs last year, but once again got outplayed by the other goalie. Madonna, Lehtinen, Zubov, etc. haven't been able to score much the last few years in the playoffs, which doesn't help either. I'd love to have them as an ideal 1st round opponent much more than having to play Calgary in the 1st round.

Iginla and Ott just went. Ott hit Iginla with a couple of good ones while the linesemen stepped in. I love seeing Iginla have his own dirty f***iing medicine handed to him like that.

You're right, but in my mind she doesn't need makeup, or even those weapons to be hot. What was this thread about by the way?
