Thank god we have Downey in the lineup. If this happened last year or the year before, our retaliation would have involved a facewash to Lapperriere, and that's it.

Apparently the divelanche and their fans do if they're going to run a team's skilled players and then cheer when they get injured. A litttle taste of their own medicine might make them think twice before they do it again. No one cares if Lappy gets beat up, they can always find 20 others like him. There's only 1 Sakic and Lidstrom to go around for each team.

That's the fight I viewed over and over again after Playfair sent his Flames to goon it up at the end of game 5 last year.

I hope you're wrong. From now on we should run Lappy and Sakic each time we play them. I figured they'd get the message after that s***bag Steve Moore ran Naslund, but I guess their organization isn't smart enough to understand it.

I'm actually a little disappointed that Downey didn't drill Lappy with a few punches after Lappy jumped him in the 3rd and then wound up at Downey's feet. He hesitated too long allowing McCleod to come from behind and grab him before he could unleash a few punches.

I'm actually disappointed with him. He destroyed and bloodied a guy in his only NHL fight, yet he hasn't done anything remotely physical since then. Did this guy develop a freaking guilt complex after that or something? I expected him Drake and Lilja to do a lot more physically, but they haven't even come close. To me Kopecky is a poor man's Johan Franzen.

Of course he is. Just look at his career record against the Wings. He needs to shave that stupid mustache off, it makes him look like some Scotland Yard jackass. And Granato was nothing but a stick swinging ***** his whole career that hid behind the enforcers on his team. -
I hope he'll only be out a week. Also, he'll still be the frontrunner for the Norris trophy.

Just to prove I'm not a blind homer, I'm calling out the PAIN TRAIN tonight for not challenging someone or jumping them. I know no one wants to fight him after the way he handled Neil, but he can still jump people if he wants to.

I'm having a hard time caring about this game knowing that Lidstrom is hurt. It's almost like doing your tax return when you know that the world will get hit by a meteor tomorrow killing everyone.

Why? Do you even know what happened, or are you just plugging into this thread randomly. Our whole season could potentially be over along with a 6th Norris trophy all because of one ugly looking f*** named Lappy.

We need to trade for Boogaard, McGrattan and Erskine just to play them against Colorado for that last game of the season. I won't be satisfied till something really really bad happens to Lapperierre.
