Officials decide games in football and basketball more often than in hockey. I'm just glad today wasn't a playoff game, although it's not like that hasn't happened before in the playoffs to us. -
We need to trade that Lidstrom guy. I hear the Leafs are looking to move Kubina.

I guess you don't count Neil as a heavyweight when he fought Lilja this year. Didn't Lilja land on top of him as I recall?

I have to give props to Downey for being able to beat a legit heavy like Parros. The only guy Downey has beaten cleanly this year was McLaren, who's not really a fighter. Hopefully, we'll see Downey drop the gloves more often now, especially since he'll be a regular in the lineup with Cleary being hurt.

That's not entirely true. The Wings didn't show up the 1st two periods and played with no passion at all until the 3rd. The ref still has to die, though.

I hope someone assaults that ******* referee in the parking lot or something even worse. That s***bag cost us the game. Thank god that wasn't a playoff game.

This injury is all Gary Bettman's fault. Now we have to hope that when he comes back for the playoffs, he won't be too rusty to contribute offensively. The only good news here is that Holland is tempted now to after some more grit, or a top 6 forward.

I didn't watch the game, but I'm assuming the reason we lost was either Sammy, Lilja, or Hasek/Osgood, depending on which one of them started in net.

I'd love to get Erskine, but I don't see Washington making this trade. Erskine has been solid for them and has been a regular ever since he joined their team.

I can see Hossa wanting to go to NY to play with his brother. That's not good for us that they're in the running for him.

Is there one player the Ducks haven't been rumored of getting? Pretty soon we'll se a topic on how the Ducks are rumored to get Crosby or Lecavalier. It's getting ridiculous to think they could have that much money left under the cap.
