The smartest choice I can see as far as citys to put a team are Milwaukee, Indianapolis, Fort Worth or Huston, London, ON, and Quebec City. The key thing to gain popularity is to bring back a more physical game because in all honesty violence sells, look at the rise of MMA and also lower ticket prices across the board, so that more people can afford to go on a regular basis.

Between the two, I would pick Downey. We have a fairly solid defencive core. I like seeing down crash the net and I like his willingness to play a physical, grind it out, type game, something that the Wings have lacked in recent years.

I am pro-enforcer, however just the presence of one does not prevent cheap shots. At that point it would have been stupid to have fought, the ref had already signled a penalty. The fight could have negated the up coming power play.

That was a great game by the Wings. Downey played well, especially considering the limited ice time.
