It would be great to see some old time hockey between us and the Ducks, maybe a thing like happened on March 26, 1997.

On the left is Adam Keefe, on the right is Neil Clark.

Why did you post the fight between Keefe and Clark on a post about Downey?

Being willing is more than you can say more most of the roster.

The Red Wings have 2 players from each of the minor league affiliates. They are Brett Westgarth and Nick Tuzzolino from the Flint Generals, Kris Vernarsky and Neil Clark from the Port Huron Ice Hawks, and Jon Insana and Adam Keefe from the Griffins. Allthough I was just at the IHL web site, which is the league the Ice Hawks and Generals are in, it looks to be the U.S. equivalent of the LNAH, which is known as the toughest league in the world. The IHL is being billed as the return to old time hockey, as in the Hansons style of game. I know I will try to go to a few of these games.

The only way you will see Keefe is if you go to a Grand Rapids game, his contract is with them, not the Red Wings. Neil Clark is to go to a Port Huron Ice Hawks game because he has a contract with them.

Actually more like 5'6''. Just kidding. In all honesty I don't see his size holding him back as much as being a severe asmatic. He has the skills to play at the professional level, however, teams may shy away from him do to size and asthma. Every level thus far he has been told he would fail, but has proved them wrong. I hope he does make it to the pros, he certanly is skilled enough.

I would love to see Downey sporting a winged wheel. Just out of curiosity did Ference look decent?

They also have the two IHL teams that have players at camp.

I like the simplicity of the Ducks jersey, but I still hate the team and their logo. The Sabers and Avs design are not really that good.

I know that many of you are going to think I am nuts in saying this but I would like to see Ference an Lilija on the Wings before someone like Lebda becose they have the size and strength to clean out the crease

They are by no means great, but I do not mind them. If Rob Ray was still around it would definately be hard to do his stripping act every time he fought.

If they didn't have a chance at making the team why would the wings have offered these guys spots at camp in order to try out. Besides the decision is not up to any of us, its up to the coaching staff, and Ken Holland. Oh, here are some of the people Downey has beaten in fights. Cris Neil, Paul Crosty, Matthew Barnaby, Tyson Nash, Andrew Peters, Chris Simon, Reid Simpson, Jody Shelly, and Marc Moro.

What I was alluding to is is isnt any kind of an enforcer, even a half-assed one.

In his entire pro-hockey carrer he has gotten 8 fighting penaltys. 8 in 11 years, thats not being a tough guy at all. Thats far closer to being a pasifist.

Keefe is signed with the Griffins and Neil Clark is signed with Port Huron.

A half-ass "tough guy" beats having no tough guy at all.

I would love to see Downey and Sopel. I don't know much about Jassen Cullimore though.

I play hockey, I have been playing for around 10 years (since 5th grade and I now am in college) and I feel that it belongs in the game.

Did anyone watch the MSU - BG game on tv. I was wondering if anything was said about the refs. I was at the game and they were booed for most of the second half and the end of the first.

I thought it looked like Matthews was trying to kick the Oregon players knee against the joint. But who cares, It still was a cheap move.
