Steve Yzerman, Ken Holland, and Jiri Fisher were at tonights MSU - Miami game. MSU lostt 4-2 with the last goal for Miami coming as a empty netter. Tomorrow should be a great game and it sounds like Yzerman and Holland will be at tomorrows game.

I would love Gratton as a Wing, espesialy after last night against the Blows. But, given Holland's stance on fighters it will not happen.

If Avery was truly libeled, then I hope he wins the case because the media has no right to go making things like that up, it is not freedom of the press when facts are invented to sell a story or make someone look worse. If the Leafs coach said that he did not hear about Avery's comments, and had no problem with Avery's actions then I doubt that the comment was even made because one of the players would have mentioned something to the coach.

What time is the kick for OSU vs Meatchicken? I know the Michigan State game is a 3:30 kick because I am going to that game. It looks like MSU-PSU is telavised on ABC.

IMO Kopecky might post one more fight this season, and that is doubtful. Also, Lilija might drop his mitts once this season. We probly won't see another fight till Drake gets the cage off or if a forward gets injured and Downey gets inserted.

I have to say that Michigan is an elite program in football. The program is always competing for the top spot in the Big Ten, they are able to recruit soley on the history of the program almost always being one of the top recruiting classes year in and year out, always making it to a larger bowl games. While I do hate U of M, I don't see how it can be argued that Michigan is not an elite program. I am sure most Michigan fans would say simaler things about our basketball and hockey programs. Now that a said something nice about U of M, I think I am going to go throw up.

I have to say a mascot of some dude eating wonder bread would be really ratther funny to see.

Honestly even if Michigan State wins next week I do not see them in a bowl game, Moter City or otherwise because 10 of the 11 teams in the Big Ten are bowl eligible and we are the lowest in the pecking order for births. MSU'sonly hope is that fat boy Perles displays favoritism and extends the Moter City invite to MSU (George Perles is on the group that picks the teams for the MCB) By the way with the Rose Bowl taking the highest ranked team in the BIg Ten (unless it is the Natn'l championship) had Michigan and Ohio State won last week Michigan would have gone to the Rose Bowl regardless of next weeks outcome because if Michigan won they would be the Big Ten champ (automatic invite to Rose Bowl) or been second place behind a Title game bound Ohio State team leaving the Rose Bowl bid to second place Michigan.

Just thought that this was kinda funny. My father is a Louisiana Monroe alumni and after ULM came under attack for being the Indians they became the War Hawks. So do you think that any school mascot that has any cultural reference should be outlawed?

I get so sick of all of this politically correct bullsh*t. The only on of those logos that could even be construed as demeaning is the one used by the Cleveland Indians because it is demeening in how it is represented. Iguess that while we are throwing out all representations of indian culture there are several other teams that should ditch their names because it could be deemed offencive such as the New York Yankees (could offend people in the north), Dallas Cowboys (could offend ranch hands), Pittsburgh Steelers (might insult steel workers), Michigan State Spartans (this could offend Greeks), or the University of Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns (could offend south Louisana citizens of Acadian decent) or Notre Dame Fighting Irish (could offend the Irish). Oh by the way there was a South African soccer team in the early 90's called the Mpumalanga Dangerous Darkies and a town in central Illinois not far from Peoria, suposedly named after the Chinese capitol of Beijing (also known as Peking) . Its high school teams were the Chinks until 1981.

Soooo, anyone else watching the Western Michigan vs Central Michigan game. Its mid-second quarter with Western leading 7-0. But, Westerns best player got ejected near the end of the first for kicking a Central player.

I know I was just being a smart ass.

Actully the clock is counting down to Purdue right now. Then next week it will say Penn State. Then the day after Penn State it will go to Michigan till next seasn begins when it will go back to counting down to each game.
