Sweet! I was hoping to see more of DeKeyser this year. Can't wait to see more of our Black Aces too along with Pulkkinen, Jurco and maybe most of all Sproul if he's still playing. Thanks of course to OP for the heads up.

Those were their best since moving from Minnesota, when the North Stars had awesome jerseys. Simple, but awesome like Hartford, the Whale. The one above not only has the cooler stars logo, but the jersey styling is another half star. Those were sharp looking.

I'd love for Howard to be a Wing for life. He can split time with Mrazek or Patterson in a couple years and we'll always have a great goalie tandem. Having Mrazek and Patterson will just keep Howard sharp and on his game.

And #1 on that list for them to sign is Leddy. So many teams GM's will be standing on the edge of rooftops this summer asking themselves....how did I get here? And then there's the Islanders with their collection of non-active goalies to be at the cap floor.

Watching danglers do their thing makes me feel funny like climbing the rope in gym class. I think that's a good thing. Guys like Dats and Jurco and Tavares turning guys inside out is awesome. Ask Logan Couture what it's like to get dangled onto his ass. You just say wow, I got dangle dangled... Other than a massive, clean open ice hit that's about as good as it gets in the NHL is seeing a guy go collect his jock strap.

I wouldn't necessarily call Tuzzi and Mule useless, but those 3 being subpar if you will, does not negate the fact that we need some bigger bodies developed in our system. Look at the Kings and Bruins. They get it.

Hossa with Dats again would be great, but as someone else said, the Hawks wouldn't just lose him for nothing.

That Lehkkonen dude? I could swear I saw he was that size. I'll look again. True, but our main need is a power forward and we need as many candidates for that role as we can get. If we get 2 power forwards and 2 giant grinders for the bottom 6, I'd poop myself with happiness. You obviously don't want just 1 kind of guy, but we have a dire need for it.

There's very few players in NHL history that you sit there and think, that guy can do something that no one else can. The only guy that could move his hands close to as fast as his feet and highlight reel all over a goalie is Pavel Bure. Stevie Y did some pretty messed up things to Dmen and his YouTube reels are great to watch because of it. Messier's down the wing snapper across the net....man he could sizzle a puck. Gretzky...he just always knew where his guys were and his 1965 assists are a good indication of that. Mario Lemieux could deke through an army of guys and hold them off with his size. He was a lazy backchecker, but man could he drive the offense. Maurice Richard, Jean Beliveau, Gordie Howe and the likes of those guys were pioneers, but I never got to watch them live or have many great videos of them, but we all knew they were great. I think the thing that we can say about Datsyuk is that he is the smoothest player we've ever seen. The seamless plays he makes where he dekes out the same guy 5 times and then drives the net while the other 10 guys on the ice watch in awe. That doesn't come around often. The longer Dats is around, the better.

5 years 15 mil take it or leave it. He already got that when he didn't pre-earn the contract. He was paid on potential and only reached it once. He's been a non-finishing machine and horribly inconsistent the other 4 years. And he sucked ass in his contract year. Time to let Flip go and move on. I always liked Flip, but he's replaceable easy. Nyquist is already proving his worth and I'd say he's already as effective or more than Flip.

I don't always like everything that Holland does, but give him more credit for his recent drafting that includes Sproul, Ouellet, Mrazek, Patterson, Jurco, Marchenko, Jensen, Frk...I don't need to keep going cause we all know the guys that Kenny drafted that we're all high on and watching very closely. He's been drafting with late picks and lots of 2nd round gems for the past decade and our prospect pool is nasty right now. Our main need is big bodied forwards and Kenny has stated that. Expect him to follow through with that just like he got what we wanted last summer. Not 1 player drafted last year was under 6'0.

You don't just switch stick tape colours and expect to be the same player. My Iginla Flames shirt is going to the salvation army. He is no longer human the moment he put on that jersey.

I like everything but including Jurco in a package deal. He needs to hang out with Dats all summer and work on ice together. He's gonna be an impact player, he just needs Dats to mentor him.

I agree that the league is becoming more of a joke with a lot of that s*** that goes on, but this is a positive change. Player safety is important and with the amount of injuries that could have been prevented or at least minimized by the injured player wearing a visor is relatively high. I'm all for letting guys do their own thing, but a line's gotta be drawn in the sand on some things and this is one. Now we just need the new "hybrid' icing to be full no touch so we stop seeing guys ankles fold to their shins sideways. That s*** is gross and makes me want to puke when I see it. Maybe it's time to ban NHLers from driving any car worth more that 100K. Apparently that just reeks of disaster. I don't like that tree....it's gotta go!

Glad to see the Griffins doing so well. CBC said during the intermission of the Bruins game that the Griffins won game 7. Nyquist, Tatar and Andersson are gonna be rust free and rippin it at training camp. Danny D should be in for game 1 of the finals I read from someone on here too, so that's just badass! And Kevin Weeks stated that Mrazek has been awesome so that's good too. Gonna watch all the highlights when I get home today.

Patterson overrated? He's going into his last year of Jr and will no doubt be the starter for Canada at the WJC. That's where we can start to critique Patterson against the best Jr competition and see if he'll be good to go for GR after or another ECHL spud.

Agreed. I know this from personal agony. Back pain just slows you down, and a lot. But leg strength and core pushes you forward.

The closest we may get is Jurco, a poor man's Datsyuk, which is why he needs some 1 on 1 time with Dats. He must take him under his Wing and show him the ways. Like Yoda and Luke Skywalker or something, with the superior coaching of Obabcockobi.

I'd say the slickest hands the league has ever seen. Even Gretzky couldn't stickhandle like Dats. Gretzky also played on a dynasty in Edmonton that every year there was the 2002 Wings. If Dats got to play against Gretzky, even the Great One would have problems with Dats' thievery. Dats would pick Waynes pocket, lick him behind his ear and undress his teammates on his way to the net.

I'd switch Brown and Franzen around.

I wouldn't say the B's have a bully mentality, they're just tougher than almost every team in the league.
