Been watching TSN while eating and they brought up Tortorella and said that apparently the Rangers were keeping him around to start next season. Personally after watching the Rangers this year and their low scoring, underachieving season up until the last 10-15 games, and then his shootout line-up when the season was on the line I would can this guy. When you have the 5th leading goal scorer in the league and the 82nd game of the season with 8th place on the line and it goes to a shootout for a playoff spot...and you send out Christenson(not bad), P.A. Parenteau (hasn't missed yet, but came very close), and Olli Jokinen (underachiever of the year) while Marian Gaborik (42 goals) is sitting on the bench. Rangers out, Flyers in. This pretty much sums up Torts as a coach if you ask me.

Tatar-Larkin-Pulkkinen has been realgud. And Pulks has 4 goals which is tied for team lead. That's good enough for top 6 minutes until Dats is back and the lines get a shake. Andersson for sure needs to go though. We have good PK'ers without having a roster spot with his name on it. I'd put Jurco with Helm and Sheahan and see how they work together.

That would be a LONG time coming. Torres is the worst kind of garbage.

2 weeks from now when Franzen takes his annual visit to the LTIR, Pulks will be one-timing Sheahan's passes on that 3rd line. Keep Helm, trade Jurco. Keep Smith, trade Ericsson. Could be a good year for Tatar and Nyquist if they get to play with Dats.

I'm guessing Ladd locks up long term with Winnipeg but Buff may be up for grabs. I would push hard next summer for Seabrook

I would love to see someone take Franzen's contract to end that chapter. Maybe Florida or the Yotes. Ericsson should be traded asap. Play Kindl and dangle him if he plays good and free up room for Marchenko and XO. Jurco will net 11.

You've been talking about trading Helm for years. There's a reason he's still a Wing and that's cause bottom 6 guys like Helm help teams win Stanley Cups.

Thornton + Pulkkinen = twine rips! Cheechoo got 54 goals on a line with Thornton. Imagine what a pure shooter could do with Jumbo Joe.
