It's kinda nice to see the Wings actually working for a change to win games instead of relying on skill and being upset when they get outworked by a less skilled team. Hopefully we have our skilled prospects come up and keep the work ethics that got them to where they are.

He's a good player, but a more physical though less skilled Filppula.

He got comparisons to Edler from a report I read a while back. He should hopefully be a Wing in a couple years after he shows what he can do in GR. He'd likely be a good pairing with Almqvist and then we can see Sproul and Ouellet as a pair. There's some nice D prospects in GR that's for sure. I'll definitely be looking into the AHL gamecentre thing next season.

Zetterberg's slapshot is pretty good.

Kane never should have got the opportunity to skate up ice and score. The play should have been blown on that one and the Wings should have had a PP they could have scored on and gone up 3-0 instead of Hawks fans moaning about the called off goal that could have tied it at 2's. The playing field was already evened, but the even up came our way for a change, just like when the Hawks were getting away with murder in the first half of the game and the refs finally gave us an even up call on the Keith penalty, which was the weakest penalty call of the entire NHL season and playoffs.

I stated before he played his first playoff game that if he played good, I'd leave him alone. Thankfully I've left him alone. I wouldn't tag him as an unsung hero, but he's been steady and that's all he's been asked to do. A few gaffs, but who hasn't? He's been good. He's been the Coliacovo in the playoffs that I was expecting as a signing in the summer.

Dave Lewis was basically a mute, unanimated Hitler, or perhaps a depressed Charlie Chaplin. Thank god his tenure was short. I was talking to some guys at work that are fans of other teams and they love Babcock's interviews. I'd love to be able to sit beside him in a sports bar, turn sideways and see him there and start a 6 hour conversation about hockey.

I'm saying this as an actual really big Toews fan. E has made Toews his little ***** in the series so far, and I'm pretty sure I saw Toews cry 4 or 5 times cause of the amount E is riding him. Z is apparently getting under Toews skin pretty bad too, but E is just giving it to him bad. I love it. Toews can't step up from the 1st round cause our boys are playing him too hard.

And Cleary and White. Time to bring up the overripe kiddos. Tatar is NHL ready and then some, just like our boy Goose who's been a blessing on our 3rd line when he's a top 6 player. That dude's stupid fast going by the draft videos we saw. If he can get his hands to catch up to his feet he could be a lot like a Bure/Gaborik type. Maybe not as good, but one can hope. Good news to hear he signed with GR. I'll be watching his development with great interest.

Without our rookie 3rd line gaining momentum almost every shift they have, we aren't in the 2nd round, maybe not the playoffs. Cleary works hard, but he's just not good.

What that loudmouth goof Healy should have said is the Wings may not have as much talent as the Hawks, but Datsyuk is a top talent in the league, is a perennial Selke finalist and can do things that most people can't even dream of with the puck. Healy is a king of backhanded compliments.

I didn't watch the game I was superstitious. But I definitely remember at the end of the game 1 GDT stating something of the sort of the Wings being much better in matinee games and apparently I was right on that one. I just watched the highlights, and I must say....great 2nd effort by Brunner, great jump in the play by Smith, what a nasty snipe by Franzen and my god Flip looked like a goal scorer on his one. I love seeing a game without the need for any garbage goals. Just nice hockey plays that find the twine.
