Interesting news. The Flyers are f***ed then. They have Pronger on the books for what, 4 more years? That team is going to be mediocre until they rid themselves of his contract, cause he can't sit on LTIR for the next 4 years. Apparently Edler may be available as well. He'll get some attention from a team that needs a steady Dman.

Those guys fought hard to give Russians a great name and guys like Ovie, Kovalev and Kostitsyn are lazy players and are often dummies outside of the rink too. I actually like Ovechkin, but sometimes he just begs to be hated.

Not at all. Game 7's are the 2nd most exciting thing in the NHL playoffs, next to game 7 SCF OT. Lashoff looks a little off out there lately. If Colo comes in and plays good, even I will stop hating on him. Hope he plays a good game and goes relatively unnoticed. They sure do a good job keeping them out though. DeKeyser's stretch pass is awesome, and Helm is the best energy guy in the NHL. When you need a big shift, there he is.

More skilled is good, but when you actually do start hitting, do you know how to take a hit, or throw a hit, or know when to avoid a hit, or not give your guys suicide passes? No to all of these. I understand being safe, but the longer you delay the hitting, the worse it'll get when they start. At bantam when kids get really fast and bigger, the hitting will be out of control. Bring it in after Timbit hockey so they learn it early.

Imagine a line with Ovechkin and Kovalev. I don't know who the 3rd lazy ass would be, but I'd love to see a line with 3 forwards that hang out between center ice and the oppositions blue line.

Hitting should be in hockey from the age of 7. Kids should learn it and live it from an early age so as to learn it clean. Peewee kids are so excited to start hitting that they're all going for the Kronwalling in the middle of the ice. If they start hitting when they start playing hockey, you won't see the kids getting all riled up to kill eachother once the hitting starts. I remember Peewee when I started hitting, and I was a small kid....I got charged at a lot. Kids need to be brought up as clean checkers, not thrown into the fire when they're almost teenagers. Bad move Alberta. Please don't make us watch womens hockey . Nothing against women, but their hockey is slow and boring.

The Wings are full of rookies and in a short season where you don't have nearly as much time to practice between games so the rookies have less time to mature and learn from their mistakes. They were basically thrown into the fire. To have 5 guys out there at once that are rookies, the only actual bad play there was Andersson not being on his guy in the first place and tying him up, or at the least getting down and blocking the shot. Aside from that, the line of Brunner-Andersson-Nyquist has been far and away our most consistent and exciting line to watch. They hustle and create chances and they have chemistry. That line should stick together through next year for sure. They'll mature together and will hopefully turn into the best 3rd line in the NHL. The only thing we need to do now is beef up the top 6 with 2 more legit scorers. Man I wish Tatar was in the line up so bad. Ice the best team you can with the players you have....that would include Tatar.

Andersson's gotta make a better play there on Bonino. Block a shot or something there or just get on him and tie him up. the stick swipe is the s***s. Gonna be hard to win this one now. Get some momentum back home and carry it through game 7.

You can make comparisons to swearing in school, but we can't compare how Abby's suspension is more merited than any of the other s*** that Shanaban just swept under the rug. That's what this thread is about. And Shanny has no credibility at all after effectively putting away his whistle after a couple of lame suspensions. And the hit above by Roy was a 100% headshot that got 2 minutes and no supplementary discipline. Sedin's butt end swing at Couture... the list goes on. Shanaban is just a Bettman lackey now that lost his way in the world of hockey.
